Yes GDB, brow underneath, or....worse he said there was an option to make my tooth into a peg and....I stopped listening. While its hard and functional and not terribly ugly I can't quite bring myself to damage it. (it has a false bit made of filling stuff I think that falls off every now and then, which means the discussion starts again about what I'm going to do with it....but otherwise its ok)0

My dentist keeps talking about a veneer to improve the appearance of a front tooth (its set back from its neighbour and a veneer stuck on it would make them all the same level).
I told him that I would consider it once the technology meant that he could do it without damaging the integrity of the tooth. Currently it would mean shaving off some outer enamel. Veneers last about 10 years, so not only would I have a compromised (and probably sensitive) tooth, but it would need redoing every decade.
Then the dentist talked about whitening before veneers because you can't do it afterwards......I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Fancying and flirting increases adrenalin, which increases pain tolerance, all very healthy for dental visits. So the eye candy has an advantage. It also helps if they are good dentists.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Have posted an update over at the other place. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I tried to reply, but got a message that my post had to be moderated. This has happened before, and the message has never appeared, so I guess you'll never see my pearls of wisdom (or my dross). No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Approved. It comes up as a red bar in the posting itself and I have to click, then approve.
Weird... annoying ... and inconvenient.
Seems to be a lot of spam there too.... I'd removed the restrictions that stopped them last year, they seem to have started again. . . the begg4rs0 -
