Viva you can get the complete series of the day today and also the radio pre-cursor on the hour http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=280;0;-1;-1;-1&sku=900953
LIR surely you can remember the final scene from blackadder goes forth? Where the soldiers go over the top? One of the best scenes on british tv ever! All the blackadder series were a phenomenon imo, & they still stand the test of time.
But I have to go back to Bill Hicks as the master. He was truly an inspiered genius.

This is all (insufficient) I can provide, owing to work blocking sites. However, I implore you, see his film, american (recently released by his family), check out his cd's, or his dvd's, especially relentless, arizona bay, shock and awe or salvation,or revalations. Bill Hicks is/was a god. A great loss. Sometimes, when he tells you something, there is a part of you which is unsure whether you should be laughing at it. There is another part though. which is glad he is telling you about it.
http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Bill_Hicks- The world is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. The ride goes up and down, around and around, it has thrills and chills, and it's very brightly colored, and it's very loud, and it's fun for a while. Many people have been on the ride a long time, and they begin to wonder, "Hey, is this real, or is this just a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and say, "Hey, don't worry; don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride." And we … kill those people. "Shut him up! I've got a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry, look at my big bank account, and my family. This has to be real." It's just a ride. But we always kill the good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok … But it doesn't matter, because it's just a ride. And we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. Just a simple choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one. Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace.
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I quite like yellow pages, but very few of my books tend to get them... I am more your classic book abuser... all I'm interested in is the information, I'll scribble in them, tear pages out to paste important sections into my notebooks, whatever it takes to use information in the book to the best advantage. And I believe all shelves should contain three times the number of books that should reasonably fit into the space provided.
Oh, I could never scribble or tear pages out of my books....I scribble in my study books but that is all.
My shelves also don't contain the books anymore, I buy them, read them and sell them on to buy more and start the process again.
Re reading in the bath, I never could manage it, the pages always got wet or I dropped the book in the water and I could never relax...no, a bath is for soaking and relaxing in...something else I don't do anymore, my bath generally takes no more than 10 minutes now!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

At the moment it would be Michael McIntyre, Miranda Hart and Lee Mack.
And here's a special one for wageslave and hamish.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YQIA_FEe3o&feature=related0 -
Is it just me that likes Kevin Bridges?
I also like Frankie Boyle and Michael McIntyre.
Frankie was by far the best on mock the week but has been a victim of his own success. It's too repetitive now and tramadol nights has been very poor though getting a bit better.0 -
Michael McIntyre and Russell Howard.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Seen the following live in the last year.
Frankie Boyle, Jimmy Carr, Sarah Millican, Arthur Smith, Ricky Gervais, Reginald D Hunterlemonjelly wrote: »I doubt anyone here is a fan of Chris Morris? He is also really funny!
I love stuff like Blackadder.
Doubt anyone here is a fan???
Love it. Have BE and TDT on DVD... love them. Have you seen 4 lions?
Ditto Blackadder.
Makes me baffled how you can dislike Monty Python!0 -
I taught a Sarah Millican, so had to look her up, but it wasn't her!:(
Anything by the Pythons or the folk from Not The Nine O Clock News suits me, so that would be Blackadder too. Loved the Young Ones (more boys humour!)
More recently, I've enjoyed The Now Show, Old Harry's Game and The News Quiz on radio. Being a bit of an old fart, I also like the silliness of I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue.0 -

Its the bits of me that aren't British showing I think. I don't much like the Shakespeare comedies either, with exceptions.0 -

Sir Toby Belch: "Excellent! I smell a device!"
Sir Andrew Aguecheek: "I have it in my nose too."
I see what you mean!0 -
