I've seen his stand up, & I've watched people walk out. I've little sympathy for those - surely they should know what they're letting themselves in for.
He makes me laugh.
I have heard, however, from generally reliable sources that he is not at all a nice person. And his attitude to much does little to diminish this perception.
I don't even know what his latest kerfuffle is. I do think his tv show is poor though, and he's becoming a parody of himself. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Apparently he's taken to using the N and P words for black and Pakistani people respectively as well as making jokes about breast cancer and Jordan's disabled son. I can't comment on these as I haven't heard them and CBA to find them to decide whether I'm offended or not. I like comedy, he's just not my kind of comedian.
I'm more a fan of clever sitcoms (the Big Bang Theory for example) and comedians like Michael Macintyre. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Not sure I can remember anyone off the top of my head. I like Michael Mac. Its an easy type of comedy to enjoy..he's . I don't like shouty comedians. I still think Victoria wood's musical number ''let's do it'' is tremendous though I never liked things like acorn antiques. I don't like too much slapstick.0 -
Michael Macintyre?
Ye gods NO!
My all time fave will always be Bill Hicks. The man was simply a god to comedy, & his death will always be a huge loss.
Current live comedians, I like Rich Hall, Dara o'Briain, Alan davies, Eddie Izzard, Bill Bailey, and Stewart Francis.
Richard Pryor's stuff is so funny!
I doubt anyone here is a fan of Chris Morris? He is also really funny!
I love stuff like Blackadder.
I hate people like russel howard, andy parsons and so many others who really just are not funny. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Chris Morris did Brasseye. Absolutely hilarious (though most missed the point when it happened). Brilliant though!
I have seen Julian Clary & Ardal O'Hanlon live too this year, amongst others.
I'm also going to see John Cleese do his first ever stand up tour.
I also love programmes like QI.
When younger I loved the Mary Whitehouse experience, and I also loved have I got news for you when angus was there...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
By the way, this may have already been discussed, but has anyone seen the thread starter for this thread:

I love Chris Morris! He was genius on The Day Today. Haven't seen much of him lately though. Also liked Blackadder. Like a lot of the same people though not big on Rich Hall. I should also give a belated mention to Rhod Gilbert, who is both funny and good looking. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Never heard of brass eye, sorry LJ. I don't like Julian Clary...as person I'm sure he's fine though.John Cleese.....I'd rather pluck my underarms one my one while lying on a bed of nails. Monty Python etc is most certainly NOT for me. I liked Have I got news for you ages ago, not watched it recently so don'tknow if I still would. I quite like QI but I'm afraid something about the marvellously intelligent Stephen Fry unnerves me. I envy his brain, but not his character.
I reme, ber Blackadder now. I quite liked that but don't think I'd like it now if that makes sense.0
