    1. Keep finances in order i.e. keep an eye on what I am spending.
    2. Use spreadsheets - this has really helped in the last 2 months
    3. Ask myself do I really need whatever I am thinking of buying
    4. Do not buy anything, or make financial decisions until I have read MSE!
    5. Continue to pay off debts
    Growing old disgracefully!
  • I have already said I want to clear out my debts but I have just thought of a few more...

    1. In my local cheap card shop, you can buy 7 cards for a pound (and they are really nice too) so I am going to work out how many I need for the year and file them January to December so I never forget!!

    2. My daughter starts secondary school in September and I reckon I will need about £150 for uniform (!!!) so i worked out to have it all by July, I need to put by 72p perday. If I do it daily I won't even notice!

    3. Batch cook as much as I can!

  • First off what a lovely idea for a thread :)

Well 2010 has been one hell of a cacky year so am glad it is finally nearly over!

    Resolutions include:

    • Getting down to 10 1/2 stone or maybe even 10 but depends how I look!
    • Starting Hot Yoga classes to help with my Kickboxing (not very DFW I know but Kickboxing is my main passion in life...which leads on nicely to the next one...)
    • Get myself into the Kickboxing ring and have my first proper fight!
    • Try and go to see my family once at month at least
    • Not spend anything on my 3 CCs and to clear the smallest 2 by the end of 2011 leaving the final card to pay in 2012
    • Meal plan more and include more healthy stuff and leave the takeaways alone as they are sooooo expensive and I cannot afford them, end of!
    • Start to hopefully work on the house a little, money permitting obviously
    • Take better care of myself and make sure that I look nice, e.g having a hair cut when needed etc!
    Happy Christmas everyone xxx
