If you have WLR (Line Rental) from TalkTalk they can and do block indirect access and if found you are using other call providers have in their T&C they will either charge you more for calls, increase your line rental costs or kick you off their service.

If you calls are only CPS'd to TalkTalk then your line rental is still with BT and TalkTalk have no say in the matter.

However this problem is with Finera SA.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

I have the same problem today with 18866, it was saying they don't do that destination and is now saying "the number you called has not been recognised" (i'm in west yorkshire). A friend in Lancashire is having the same problem. Hope they fix it soon.

Shame you hadn't CPS'd your calls to Primus Saver 2.

I did on Friday !!! :j but have had no correspondence from them yet, it's not an immediate changeover is it?

My uSwitch hasn't tracked on Quidco either
  • I have had the echo on my phone for a few days, and then today I got the "don't do calls to this destination" message.

I tried to fill in the customer service form online and that just kept saying my phone number should be 10 or 11 numbers, (which it was) and I can't get any further

    Takes around 10 - 21 days.

I've only personally known people sign up over the phone and they had e-mail confirmation either during the call or within a few seconds of hanging up.

Agreed - just after we've made all our calls via BT !1 And that having had a quarterly bill just this morning for calls totalling £0.07. More than that just today.

But 18185 is back with an echo I've never had since I used tin cans with string between. Do you think .........??

I can't believe you did so with the MSE UK Callchecker so easily available.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
