    Morning everyone
Well Christmas is well and truly sorted, presents all bought, food shopping done (last night) only the fresh produce to get. Booze is in the shed. Well ahead this year YAY!

Waiting for the pools man he normally brings me £10 of £2 coins each week, so they'll be in the Summer 2011 fund

Feels a lot warmer today, I've actually taken my scarf off!

Have a great day everyone, stay safe and keep saving
Booze in the shed yo say mmm, where did you say you lived exactly.:rotfl:

Me either sparky, wouldn't have an inkling. When you say you "take them off the pools man", you don't literally lie in weight for him !!!!!! Turpin style and then.........????:doh: Surely not, not our sparky!!! That isn't how you work up there with LC 2, is it?! Can just picture you two in operation....:grouphug: Just joking, honest.!!! ;)

Sue x Anyone else wishing to join, please say the word, you're most welcome.

I've dug a large pit to catch him in, I cover it with a tarmac coloured sheet and wait for him to fall in. LC2 would run away with the proceeds, if she was in cahoots with me, she's a minx that one :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Just kidding LC2, we'd make a great team for snaffling dosh off unsuspecting folk! ;)

  • Evening all

Only £1.00 in the pot today. Found it under the sofa when I was cleaning. Haven't gone out today so no change but should be going out tomorrow so maybe I will have a bit of change to add then.

  • Have you seen the weather forecast for the weekend? Here in Norfolk its predicted to get up to 7 or 8 degrees! POSITIVELY BALMY!! If I were alot younger, alot slimmer & alot braver, I would be raking out my cozzy!

Adopted the same plan of action today as yesterday - all change went into the coat pocket instead of the purse, so £2.30 went ker-ching!!! (Keith Lemmon style) into my pot this evening. Yes, I actually do make that noise every time I make a credit to my pot. Crazy I know, but its fun. Try it! Go on, go on, go on!

A warm & cosy evening wished to all x

Good Lord, I thought highwaymanship was long gone!! Stand and deliver your £2 pound coins my man, your money or your life!

My dear old Grandad used to do the pools. I remember he used to ponder for hours over which matches would achieve a score draw or a no score draw. He used to write down all the results onto a form each Saturday afternoon from the announcements on Grandstand/World of Sport to see if he'd won anything. He also used to do Spot the Ball in the newspaper & it was always my job ( I was only a nipper!) to put some"x's" on the photo for him.

I know some of you out there won't know what I'm on about so please excuse this old girl's ramblings! x

Evening everyone - 70p in the pot for me today.

Have also signed up to the NSD challenge - probably not the best month to start, but nothing ventured, nothing gained:)

Am feeling I'd like something a bit more exciting that an old coffee jar to save in, so might have a look in the £ shop when shopping in a couple of weeks time.

A nice shiny £10 note in the pot today :j just rang Sky and told them they are way more expensive than virgin, give me a discount or im leaving, got all the way to the cancellation department before finally being offered half price TV for 6 months (£14 saving) so thought i should put £10 of it in the tin as its spare cash :D

Also 2p went in as i found it hidden amongst some reciepts in the coin bit of my purse :D:D:D

Good for you!!..Other half wanted to switch to Sky so i let him as he offered to take on the direct debit :) ....

But they are so expensive as soon as our contracts up we will be either going for freeview / freesat or at the very least back to virgin.

I wouldnt recommend sky to anyone, were both very disappointed with them.:(
Good on you for getting your £14 per month saving :T and popping it into your pot !

My Dad used to do 'Spot the Ball' on a Saturday - gosh that brings back memories :)

£3.44 for me today, including a 5p that I found on the floor in Tesco, I saw it at the self service checkout but the lady in front of me stood on it - was praying that she didnt see it and pick it up, so that it could be all MINE :D
