£1.39 into my pot today, including about 26p found lying around in various parts of the office yesterday.
  • Yipee SPC member 1094!

Have decided sealed pot will be the huge tin of Roses I have ready to be devoured over the Christmas season, these will NOT be opened until Christmas Eve so should have a nice tin to save in by Christmas Day :rotfl:

Am thinking I may also push my Clubcard vouchers in the pot too to avoid the temptation!

Good luck to all challengers

Finally reached £50 with Newvista Live, so just waiting for a cheque to wing it's way to me, also received another 2 X £2 coins in my change from Mr. M's self service till this morning, that makes £20 (£2 coins) into the Summer 2011 fund. Will also be popping £2.48 into the sealed pot.

  • Morning all,

Wasnt going to go out today so would have had no chance of getting any change until tonight - but I have cystitis so had to go and get some medicine from the pharmacy (which tastes really awful). On the plus side that left me with some change to go in the pot (£6.77) and in true MSE style I half walked, half skated home saving myslef £1.60 in busfare.
    Moving on up :o SPC #382 ~ £40 banked
    12k in 2016 #15. £541.91/£3000

Me either sparky, wouldn't have an inkling. When you say you "take them off the pools man", you don't literally lie in weight for him !!!!!! Turpin style and then.........????:doh: Surely not, not our sparky!!! That isn't how you work up there with LC 2, is it?! Can just picture you two in operation....:grouphug: Just joking, honest.!!!

    Hi SUE

Now that's a good idea!! and while Sparky was holding them up I could fill the bags and do a runner only trouble is there is quite a bit of competition round here :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I've dug a large pit to catch him in, I cover it with a tarmac coloured sheet and wait for him to fall in. LC2 would run away with the proceeds, if she was in cahoots with me, she's a minx that one :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Just kidding LC2, we'd make a great team for snaffling dosh off unsuspecting folk! ;)

How fast can you run SPARKY Oh and I would probably have to bring all the kids with me!!!:rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi LC

No Total yet.Sparky is very busy at the moment getting his and my outfits ready, the good thing about living here is no one will bat an eyelid at us. Probably think its another hen/stag do:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: A bit like London really. Well off to practice saying " Stand and deliver" in Mr M's

  • Dreamer why withdraw it? Surely its better left in the bank earning interest? Can you mentally relabel the savings account as 'Sealed Pot online' - or actually rename the account.
I could easily rename it. But the interest on an esavings account (where the save the change stuff is transferred to) with Lloyds is 0.08% (net) per year! So even at £10 a month I'd earn a whopping... 5p of interest for the year! Personally I'd rather have the fun of "cher-ching!" as I put it in my pot, and counting it all next November. :D

Edited to add: £1 in pot day. Got a day off work and will have an NSD so won't have anything to add!

£29.50 in clubcard vouchers have been forced into the pot today (little monkeys didnt want to go no matter how small i folded them) and 72p in change after a very expensive spending day! 2 ticks to sons choir concert, new pliers for my crafting as managed to ruin old pair cutting up christmas wreaths (dont ask:o) ebay postage and then shopping made me £31 lighter :(
