Hellooooo all,
Thank you for all the good wishes for Mr Jake, he's fine, boys are meant to be covered in bruises and cuts it sems and he is justifyably proud of the mess he's made of his knee
I have popped the £2 i was meant to use for said parcel into the pot as it was wearing a hole in my pocket and Mr Jakesmum went down the pub last night and handed me back a lovely £1.30 to go with it
Jake is off to his first grading this morning for his Martial Arts so will be back to anounce any other change i may find whilst out: D

Hello everyone, (especially :ASue:A )
God, Is it June already? It doesn't seem six months ago that I last visited. I must be doing something wrong.
On a lighter note. This year I joined the saving club at work again, saving a bit more this time (£55 a week), maybe a bit too much but nevermind...half way there.
Also one of my Debts (to 'Rockwell'. £20 a week) came to an end the other week so I immediately opened up a savings account and asked for £25 to be taken every Fri. from my current account to the savings one...not sure how much that will make come the end of the year...I'd just like to forget about it as I am an easily tempted person.
If all goes well, I might go to India again next year for a treat.
Sue, hope you're okay. You're still doing a fantastic job here.
I promise to pop in a week or two to read how everyone else is doing.
Rancid

All the best, to Mr Tumble too.
He's fine Sue, just needs a bit of gaffa tape, PVA and a touch up with paint...:rotfl:
...
Eeeee Footiemad, I could take offence at all this cheek you know...:p :rotfl:...The car moves forwards and backwards, it brakes and has an MOT now (it also steers round corners - which I think willl come in handy too :rotfl:). You can't ask for more than that can you
.
Glad to see you're still doing well too.
Thanks very much Queenriderbrekke, hopefully we can get some back into the pot for December :T.boys are meant to be covered in bruises and cuts it sems and he is justifyably proud of the mess he's made of his knee
It's what we do best for our mums jakes-mum...:rotfl:...mine used to watch us with one eye sqinted and the other closed - she knew something was going to happen, it was just a case of when. Your lucky he's not into building homeade ramps, swings (out of rope) etc....the list goes on jakes-mum (but I don't want to give him ideas to scare you with :rotfl:). Glad he's okay for you though :T.
Hope you've all had a good day potting...😇 Sealed Pot Challenge: Member No: 20: 2012 = £92.14; 2013 = £45.27; 2014 = £54.70; 2015 = ; 2016 = £70.38 2022 = £10.58 2023 = ???? 🍀 2023 DECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN Mrs SD 65/365 so far. 👾 The Other Way, or the MSE Way: My Personal Challenge 🍀 The Other Way, or the MSE Way: My Personal Challenge 20120 -

A very warm welcome Vicky496, it's lovely to have you with us.
Have great fun saving. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 3 of page 1. Please read through post 1as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. Please pop your number on your sig, it helps so very much
Vicky, £4 is a great beginning and so is an instant coffee jar! my very first 'model' was a drinking chocolate club, but both have and will serve great purposes in reaping rewards. All the best with yours.
Hiya Rancid :hello: it really is so wonderful to see you, just don't make it so long between visits…… Please!:grinheart It's always good to see 'old' friends make an appearance so hopefully we'll see you again soon. You've done amazingly with your savings and I'm delighted that you have cleared a debt too! :T All the best with your dreams of going to India next year Rancid, you'll certainly have deserved it....so whatever you do don't get tempted and leave the savings while alone!BTW, thanks for the compliment but...it would be nothing without all of you here!
Good to hear young Jake is okay today, jakes-mum, he's a typical boy for sure. :jnu1isit? wrote:Your lucky he's not into building homemade ramps, swings (out of rope) etc....the list goes on jakes-mum
Plenty of time for that yet, nu1isit? as I get the feeling our Jake's only quite young, but look out when he's a teenager and doing all that then and having a whale of a time just like my DH and our lad did though boy did they have fun. :j
Well done Lee-anne, you too Kerry. the weather hasn't been to bad here though it's starting to drizzle, but it's been nothing like they forecast, so I suppose will expect that tomorrow!
Have a relaxing evening everyone and a good start to the week tomorrow.
Sue x

Just 5p in coppers today. 2p of that was bus-stop roadkill. I waited for everyone to get on the bus before picking it up off the pavement:D. I would have felt soooo self-conscious otherwise

just to let you know i'm still here. had to empty the sealed pot in march to help towards ds's 18th. didn't think i'd be able to jump back on the waggon but, here i am!! getting better at picking up roadkill, even the kids are at it. hubby & ds will tell me AFTER they've passed some!! hubby contributes 20ps now as well as copper & 5ps. i'd say that's progress
well done to everybody.

Hi,
I've added £10 to my pot today to make up for being rubbish at potting for the last few monthsI bought my dad's fathers day present from myself and my sis which means she had to pay me back and I figured as I'd already spent it I didn't need it back, so ccceerrrcchhinnnggg into the pot it went (although possibly not with a ccceerrrcchhinnnggg sound as it was a note and not coins
