Thanks for the welcome Sue-UU and others. It has a lovely atmosphere on here.:T

I will go and put my number on my signature now.

No money to add to the pot today as of yet, but a bit of de-cluttering is planned so you never know. If not I may pinch 5p from DH's change dish.:rotfl:

Got 20p to plop in when I get home :)
Savings £8,865.22 £/15,000 Aiming to save enough for a house deposit.
  • I've not joined the challenge officially because it's hard to keep track of what goes in our pot, and also because I wanted it to be a surprise amount when we opened it. I hope it's ok to come on here and post ?

We cracked open the terramundi pot today (very carefully so it can be reglued, almost good as new !). We've been putting in 50p, £1 and £2 coins and the occasional fiver. It was *almost* full and contained a grand total of .... £415 !!!

That's quite a bit more than we expected. We've got a new savings account for it to go into as an emergency fund rather than anything exciting, though DW has earmarked a bit of it for a few new bits of summer clothing. She deserves it though - we've been very frugal over the last few months. It will be a great comfort to have a little cushion there in case the washing machine breaks down or anything like that.
Debt at worst point = £8100 Debt now = £956

    Evening, everyone!

Doubtful Guest, everyone is welcome here! It's a lovely place to be, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. And please don't think you can't join 'officially' because you don't keep a track of what is in your pot - a lot of us (me included) aren't counting or going for a specific amount. Basically, we just save whatever we can in our pots, and then we're going to open them on 1st December and add up how much we have all managed to save! So please feel free to join - and you already have a headstart of £415, incredible!

And welcome smiths84, Sue will be along to issue you with a number soon! All newbies who may just be observing, please do join in the fun, the more the merrier! It really helps you maximise your potting!

Well done potters! Keep up the good work! x :)

Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
