It's quite depressing seeing people put like £2 a day in when I can barely afford to put 2p in
I hate not having a job.

Morning all,
Aww, Willow, sorry to hear you're struggling. What is your pot money going to be used for? Perhaps it would help to think about what it will pay for, even if it is only a small amount? If it will be treat money, perhaps a bottle of wine with Christmas dinner? Or a little stocking filler for yourself, something pretty and sparkly!? Even if you can only afford to save 2p a day between now and 1st December, with what is in there already that could still add up to a nice little treat come Christmas time. I hope you find a job soon and things get easier, but good on you for carrying on potting! (Ooh, and keep your eyes peeled for some tasty roadkill, that could really boost your fund!)
Footiemad, how exciting you have booked a cruise, that is my dream holiday! I would imagine that is costing a fair few pennies, but soooo worth it, and I think if you're doing that, you may as well do it properly!
Right, the raisin wheats are all eaten - I'm off up to my ward to find out how many of my patients survived without me last week! It'd be a pleasure to have you with us, LianneH. A warm welcome aboard and have fun saving.
You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 3 of page 1. Please read through the 1st post as it'll let you know exactly how the challenge works. NB. Please pop your number on your sig, it helps so very much. NB. Pots are emptied on 1st December 2011, thank you.
Evening again everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and is looking forward to the week ahead….well maybe not the work part but to the rest of it.
Thanks again everyone for your lovely warm wishes, as always they're very much appreciated from you all my dear friends.
Cazzie, please don't reckon on that zoo any time soon as apparently this is going to take some time to heal -3 months to an acceptable level and up to 9 months for it to be better!! For now I'm just rolling the theraputty between both hands, so modelling little animals for the zoo might take a while, so I won't be taking orders just yet.;) Talking of theraputty, I'd been using Play-Doh but it smells so sickly that I've just ordered some Plasticine from Amazon that people say is just as good, so here's hoping. BTW, I forgot to say the other day that it was good to hear you'd had a nice few days away and enjoyed yourself.
Hi Lula, it's good to see you again, and aren't you keeping true to your promise of saving! Brilliant work Lula!
Still waiting then skilly! Never mind whilst you're waiting you still have that wonderful excitement, enjoy it! I can hardly wait meself so please don't forget to lrt us know....please.:)
Lovely to see you again Observer! :wave:It's so nice when people keep popping back - it makes us feel wanted! Good to see you're still saving though I didn't really expect anything different.
Hi Footiemad, and how right right you are about us nearly being half way through this year's Challenge! It's almost frightening how fast the time has gone so far. Still plenty of time left for us to save as much as we can though. How fantastic to have a cruise to look ahead to!!! What a way to be able to totally relax on a holiday, something really great to look ahead to FM, I'm thrilled for you!:j
Do try not to worry Willow, just keep plodding along and one day when you're least expecting it a job will turn up for you so do try and stay positive and just keep saving all you can, that's all any of us can expect or hope for. Fingers crossed for you Willow and all the best. :kisses3:
Have a relaxing evening everyone and have another great saving day tomorrow.

Welcome to the mad house parsniphead. Sue will assign you a number soon as shes around.
A few small ones in to my work tin this evening, including a solitary 1p of road kill - am hoping that the lighter evenings mean I'll spot more of them. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Evening lovely potters
It been a little windy out there. Hope you've not been blown away
Well I fed Rosie £4.35 courtesy of fat club and x 2 £2 coins for the hols pot later in the year, got them by exchanging £1 coins at fat club. Stops me from spending the money on rubbish.
Willow don't judge yourself too harshly, your doing really well just by saving and every little bit helps no matter what the amount, so give yourself a pat on the back and pot what you can sweetie. I am sure a job will come along soon. Its hard for me at times and I could keep the money in my purse but its better in the pot than frittering it away, which we all do without realising. this is the first time that I have decided to save properly so what ever I can put in is a bonus and helping at fat club gives my pot a boost once a week and looking for road kill too. Just keep going.
Thanks Cazzie and Sue, it will be a tough one to save for but well worth it as you say and great to have an incentive to save for and it will be really special. May only happen the once so going to go for it.
Once this years holiday is out of the way I will be saving with earnest. I already do a little holiday fund with my friend who is going with me and her the money every pay day. We have managed £160 since Jan and that went towards our deposit. Along way to go but determined to do it.
Have a good day tomorrow everyone.
