Hi all,
I found a pound in the melting snow yesterday I was really chuffed.I was just about to put it in my pot when ds said "all found money has to go in my sealed pot".
I have created my own little mse monster , his £17 26p from last year (that is now in his bank account earning interest) has spurred him on to greater savings.Life is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.0 -

Hiya - I'm not really going alone. My BFF is coming to Borneo and I have friends in Singapore, Australia and New Zealand, so I may be alone for the odd week, but will have friendly faces along the way. One of the bonuses (but also sad when they go home) of living in London I guess. The sun shines in the canaries - and in my book that's all you need.:D
PS: Like your anti-theft idea, maybe I should think up a disguise for my terramundi;)angelsmomma wrote: »Hi all,

Wish I'd taken up saving when I was younger - I'm still learning.:o:o:oSave me from spending...

For some reason i thought this thread ran till the end of the year. Doh!
So i've just added up my last lot of change and i just about made last years target. :j All of it has gone to bills and debt through out the year (apart from the last £16 currently in my tin).
So i'd like to start a new tin ready for next yr please. I'm not setting myself a target this time and i'm also NOT going to open it before dec 1st 2011.
So in with a handfull of change to my temp tin (i'm getting a HUGE tin for xmas:D)£387.39/£196.46

Taking a break from cleaning my room ready for visitors to come and stay. That's right, I get turfed out of my room when we have guests, and I have to sleep on the floor in the living room with the cat trying to pounce on me all night! Found a fair bit of change, including a moneybox that I must have used at some point, with £20.19 in it! So that's gone into my new pots today! Going to a wedding reception tonight with a cash bar so might find some road kill around from all the drunk people, plus going to have some cash left over from my weekly spend limit so will add that into the pot too! Have a great Sunday everyone!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

Hi there nickynoo08, I'll answer you first for obvious reasons - as I can't find you anywhere on the list of members on Page 1. Please have a look through yourself to check but I've been through it twice, and no luck.
If I'm right and you can't find your name either - then I'd imagine you'd you like to join us - yes?
Have a look through first anyway, I may just be missing something - no comments you lot!!!
Thanks nickynoo08, we'll soon get you sorted.

That is the ultimate aim of the thread isnt it?:silenced::whistle:
Course tis, scuba, the rest of the world just aren't quite aware of it - YET!! Look out when they do, we'll even have David Camerooon saving - huh, he don't need to now does he, we all do it for him. Wonder if he reads this thread?? ! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Afternoon everyone, hope you're all having a wonderful day. Foggy as heck here, lifted a bit around 12 so we could see the hill, then must have hit the valley over yonder and [STRIKE]bugg....[/STRIKE] blowed if it didn't come on back again.
Good thinking with what you advised mischiefbec, henna.
Best way to do it, mischiefbec, though you don't need to have a target, but if you'd like to then how about putting a minimal figure, that way you'll get a real buzz if you can go over it.
LC 2, why not let your DH get you a Terramindi and have it in your bedroom - uh the pot that is!Snowman soup and dustpan cookies???? Is there a connection between the 2 and what are they??
So word of us (SPC) travels far and wide then fishcakes, brilliant news Well done on the card sales too.
Ahhh, that was lovely to read, angelsmomma, it's your welfare he's thinking of - isn't it?? :undecided One very clever lad.
Friends in GREAT - places then, LC!!! Marvellous for being able to see more of the world though.
Nice to see you so soon GBN!
Phwarrr, Ruby, that was a darn good find. Bad luck with the sleeping, but worth it for your finds!
