Jaxx, I don't do recipes for soup, except tomato. The butternut squash was chopped and roasted for about 40 mins, then into a pot with about eight medium carrots, two ladles of lentils, a chopped onion and about six litres of stock, a bit of cayenne pepper, and then once cooked salt and pepper to taste. It is pureed now as Ds2 doesn't like chunky lentil soup. Sorry its not more accurate :o I am trying to reduce cals so I never sweated the veg first.

    Be back later :)

Bleaching down all day here! Car still stuck but I headed out and walked into the city centre - should have taken me 5 minutes but it was a tramp and a half there and back.

OS?? Mmmmm - we are still eating out the freezer, found meat which is about 2 years old and happily cooking and using it. :j Got some fresh vegs (and a bottle of wine) but then got distracted by the lovely clothes in M&S  I really shouldn't be allowed out at all.

Work is being done, house is being cleaned as sometimes I am bored but generally I find housework boring too. The threat of friends coming over this morning galvinised me into washing dishes (DW arriving on Friday so was 'saving' them up :j) and the bathroom floor. Wasted effort as they couldn't get here.

    Hi Everyone

The heating has been on most of the day, luckily we don't need to worry too much re the bill.

Just doing some Yorkshires to go with the mince and veg left from yesterday. Not much mash left, so have popped some frozen :o Roast Spuds in the bottom of the oven while they cook. Cheating I know but they seem to come out less "fatty" for Dh.

If anyone spots M&S are selling their hampers off cheap like last year, PM me please, as they make an ice stocking filler for DS & GF. I am not always up as early as some of you but spot PM's b4 reading thread, as they go to my Bberry.

Off to rescue the Yorkshires, DH is now bored by the snow :rotfl::rotfl::cool:

    Take care and keep warm
