Of course, what JustWonderful hasn't revealed is that he/she has a vested interest in plugging the ranges she names as they are all sold by Superdrug, who are also her employers. If you check out her posting history you will find that she does a fair amount of plugging of that particular store on these forums!
Is he/she now? V interesting! If only he/she'd been friendly.
Because you know obviouslyI've used or tested every bit of make up Superdrug sell, and we could have had a nice little make up lovers chat.
Instead... he/she alienated lots of potential customers and opened up the floor to all the very valid arguments for why the cheaper ranges Superdrug sell can be a false economy.
I shouldn't think that was her intention. Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. Einstein0 -

It's obvious to us on this board Jacks xxx that you love your make up. It's all good quality stuff that you use and my does it look lovely
. I don't see anything wrong at all with having more expensive brands, my virgin vie stuff has been going for years now whereas the No7 freebies are all but gone within a few uses. Sometimes, you really do get what you pay for.
*And I'm NOT jealous of your stuff.* I must keep telling myself that
Bless you honey. Some of the stuff in my "other people kit" is Virgin Vie because we did a fundraising Virgin Vie evening to pay for it. there's a bright blue felt pen eyeliner that all the youngsters absolutely love when I put it on them. I am not a lover of VV skincare, but some of the make up is nice. Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. Einstein0 -

Not at all my lovely. Make up artists get paid!:D
I just love make up and do a lot of other people's, for fun and as part of my volunteer work.
I watch loads of Youtube make up tutorial videos to learn techniques.
Thanks to our swap meets with my girlies, and the make up companies we buttonhole to donate make up for me to use in my volunteer work, I've tried a big chunk of all the make up to about the Clinique / Bobbi Brown price range. Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. Wow - what voluntary work do you do? It must be fun!
Also, I wish you were here to show me how to use eyeliner: I'm STILL useless, although that might not be a bad things as I have teeny tiny eyes anyway, so they couldn't take a whole lot of it. :rotfl:Please call me 'Pickle'

ok not two hours after declaring i didn't need to buy any toiletries for 12 months what do i do? i go shopping in the sales.
In my defence it's all for Christmas gifts next year, and looks great and was very barganous.
I did sucumb to a Vitamin E facial set to try as i've never really been good at doing the whole facial routine and it was only £3 which isn't much to lose if it doesn't suit me. i have to admit the sanctury stuff i have been using is quite a few years old, and been open all that time so i'm beginning to wonder if i shouldn't just chuck it.0 -

you people do make me wonder- I couldnt care less if you shopped in Superdrug,Boots or Debenhams for your make up- it makes absolutely no difference. Yes I do work for Superdrug, And it is because I work for them that I realised how expensive make up is (Being a man, make up was not something I thought of before working there).
Certain products, such as YSL touche eclat cannot be replicated, fair enough, but this IS a forum for moneysaving, so we should surely be promoting good value brands.0
