Thanks :) I'm getting quite obsessive about codes.

Before I found out about quidco, I bought a load of stuff from Gap but, when I got home, found I had a 30% discount sitting in my inbox so I was really cheeky and returned everything before rebuying it with the voucher! Better in my purse than in their till! haha

that is sheer genious in my book

I am wide awake because I have had a few glasses of coca cola today and I'm not used to the caffine (I think that tea and coffee are the work of the devil).

Anywayyy, I planned on spending not a penny more than £15 tonight - which I didn't. I only spent £6.40. My friend won at the bingo and, because we always share, she gave me 50% of the winning - yayyy! Came home £3.60 better off!

Thinking about it, being on a caffine high is a good thing because my kitten has just legged it out of the catflap. I hope to hell he can make it back in. I don't want him to go roaming. Well, not yet anyway. He is nearly 9 months old but we hand reared him and didn't think that he would survive his first night so we see him differently to the other two. If he wants to go out then I can't stop him but he is our baby boy!

Right, will bring them back in and will lock it. He hasn't quite developed the strength to jump the 6ft wall but I'm not chancing it.

Thank heavens for Webbox Sticks! :)

    Hey shinytoaster, love the name!
Just had a look through your diary, were quite similar (living alone with cats:eek:) in some ways. I have approx £700 of debt to pay off now :j down from £6k last year so know I can do it.

Funny I was thinking about going to Bingo the other day, not sure if I'd like it but you seem to do not too bad!

Look forward to hearing how you get on

  • corrrr you have repaid loads in such a short space of time! Well done you :):):)

My best friend have been playing it on and off for the past ten years. We used to go to the proper clubs when it was offer night (every other month or so) but we just go to the one in the local old mans club now. We got sick of never winning haha. It's a good night out and we have gone from spending about £25 (including a sly trip to KFC on the way home) to less than a tenner. I like it BUT you have to sit in the same seat every time you go as the other players are **too** superstitious!

Today has been a complete and utter write-off. I was awake until gone 2am and woke up in a grump. And then, the decorators arrived :( I swear that someone up there doesn't like me because super strength painkillers don't even take the edge of them anymore. Anyway, I have had an afternoon nap and am determined not to waste the evening.

I can't drink cola and pepsi when I go out anymore because, for some unknown reason, started fretting that I was going to pass on so I listed all the reasons why I can't. Stoooooopid irrational thoughts! I have no idea where it came from tbh - maybe I was cross with not being able to nod off. I'm gonna drink j2O when I go to the club next week.

On the plus side, today ended up being a NSD but, it has gone 6pm and I am still in my pjs - haha oh heck!

Pay day tomorrow! I am thinking about my payday month goals. Will post them tomoz :)

Just did the dreaded online banking. My o/d, as it stands, is £630. This will decrease to £580 tomorrow (well, £650). Roll on April payday!

Ahh pure bliss spending the day in your jimjams! No need to feel guilty for doing that, could have quite easily done the same myself if I did not have to go to work! :p

I went to bingo the other week with my work clgs and we had a great time! Was 6 of us but none of us won anything, not a sausage. Think were gonna plan another trip there soon!

Pay day for me tomorrow aswell! :j

I got paid today **happy dance**

and then I did the internet banking ... :(

This payday month, despite being short, is going to be an expensive one because I have two birthdays, our first anniversary (where has the time gone??!) and my car tax is due.

I am going to give myself a mini challenge of allowing myself £180 to pay for petrol and all groceries. I know that some people on here manage on far less but I can only re-educate myself by making teeny tiny steps.

I have been thinking about my second job. After deductions (after they are finally sorted out) I get £85 a week (not every week mind). I have started today by sticking an extra tenner into my bills account, a fiver as an extra payment to the dreaded CC and, the remaining £70 is going to my remortgage and general sort my house out fund. I only have £200 in that account and I want a grand by the end of July. This means that I have potentially an extra £40 in my bills account to cover the unexpected and an extra £20 toward the CC.

Oh yeah, my OD has been officially reduced to £650. £350 paid off without me realising. I can't wait for that millstone to be gone. Just two more paydays to go :)

I agree that babysteps are the way to go, I am doing the same and slowly learning to cut down without 'missing out'.

Good luck with your £180 challenge, hope you make it! This month it is only 4 weeks until next pay day though so should be easier to budget for (well for me anyway!) ;)

Haha. the beginning of your payday post is pretty similar to mine! My account was in credit for the first time in years, few clicks and back into the overdraft. Oh well.

Good luck with the challenge :)
