Tbh, surveys bore me to tears. They go on forever or I never qualify
I only do them because they are a way of making some extra pennies.
I think I will because I quite fancy buying the odd magazine. I do get one delivered every month but my glossy doesn't provide enough dross.0 -
Hiya
I think the pocket money thing is a great idea, I give myself some personal spends cash (although having to cut it right back til the end of the month as I've been a bit spendsy of late) so dont feel guilty if I buy non essentials like nail varnish, magazines, coffee with a friend etc. x0 -
payday on Friday! **happy dance**
Been thinking about my March payday month goals. I'm going to give myself a tenner a week spending money but I have to concentrate on my grocery spends. I will keep track of my petrol spends separately and aim to spend less than £150 on food for myself, my fella and three furbabies. I must do this!!!
I ate courtesy the freezer tonight and what I though was chicken curry was something completely different! It will be another mystery meal tomorrow. Maybe the next time I batch cook I should label everything!0 -
I downloaded a spending diary app onto my iPhone and ohhhhmyyyyygawwwd talk about shock tactics! I'm gonna stick with it though because I want the millstone gone.0

I demand to know where my weekend has gone! Where is it?? I want it back!
I have had a lovely weekend. We went to the shopping centre today and I finally spent my Christmas vouchers.
I went on the market yesterday and stocked up on chicken for the month. I only have £60 left to spend on groceries this month (I reduced my target to £120 and have a separate £50 for my cats and £60 for petrol for the month). I only need to buy bread, milk, fruit and veggies but I can get all of that from the market. I didn't spent £60 on meat btw - that was only £9.00 but I stocked up the cupboards as well and had to do the Boots run (why does everything run out at the same time??!)
I have also meal planned for the week. Just need to renew my tax disc this week and set up a new standing order for the dreaded council tax. Free lancing on Tuesday but I wasn't paid for last months tutoring which needs looking into this week.0 -
Sounds like a good weekend, I've been struck down with the lurgy!
I downloaded an app for the iphone, think its called piggie...have yet to use it though!0 -
mine is called PocketMoney Lite and has a picture of a piggie. It is fab for shock tactics.
I hope that you feel better soon.0 -
Well, today has been an NSD - yay! As soon as my washing machine cycle is complete I am off to the gym. The sun has been shining today and that has made me feel gloriously happy. Oh, I love it when the weather is nice0

You know, I have no idea why I stopped updating my diary. I'd like to say that I am debt free but I'm not. Things are a lot more manageable these days but I have a longggg way to go.
Anyway, it is just over two years from when I last updated. My mega overdraft is long gone but I do dip into it from time to time and my CC bill is a lot smaller. I am still surveying and MS-ing but I don't have my second and third jobs anymore. I just can't physically manage them at the moment because I am currently 33 weeks pregnant.
GOSH!!!!
My OH and I finding out that I am up the duff was a huge shock because I thought that that ship had sailed a long time ago! Needless to say that we are both verrry happy and are now engaged and living in sin. My house is in the process of being prepared for the rental market. I'd be a fool to sell it now as I bought it just before the bottom fell out of the market and I would lose my deposit and would quite possibly end up owing the bank manager a quid or two should I sell it now.
What else?? Well, I still keep a spending diary and we now have a separate pot for the household shop and the like.
Well, I need to bog off. I will update my signature tomorrow.
Onwards and upwards as they say!0
