my lock'n'lock arrived today from mr QVC
they are beyoootiful - and lovely girly pink!!
Think the biguns will definitely be used for kids stuff.
Otherwise they all look to be useable sizes for food - even the diddy little round cutie one.:smileyheaJane

Catherineblack, yes they are completely watertight and very reliable0

I really wish I wasn't saving at the moment as I would have loved the QVC set - even at the higher price its great value. Was drooling in Boundary Mills (V cheap store) today and would have cost me double to get the same package. That big one with the handle looks so good.
And yes put your AV juice in one and trust it. I often carry liquids to work in mine no problem. The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j0 -
John Lewis stock them as well. I have their fridge jugs and they go through a dishwasher brilliantly.0

Hi
After reading the gruesome thread on creepy crawlies in peoples flour I am thinking about storing all flour etc in these lock and lock boxes or whatever they are called, Just wondered though before spending out on them if they are any good, if it is worth buying good ones from lakeland or if the tescos or wilkos ones are ok. Also, do these truly stop any little creepy crawlies getting in.
My husband will not be impressed if I go out and get more plastic boxes, so I need to know the facts!!!!!!!!!!!!
Many thanks

I like the genuine Lock & lock containers as they are completely air & watertight. I got some cheap imitations from Morrisons and they are not. Lock & lock are dear, but they have a wide range of sizes so you shouldn't need to buy too many if it's just a couple for your flour. I keep my flour in Tupperware containers since I got an infestation of Indian Meal Moths earlier in the year. I was also advised to keep unopened flour in sealed plastic bags in the freezer until needed, and this seems to help - they take up a lot of valuable space though.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

Hi Jo
We have a recent thread on these boxes filled with ideas (but not locked yet) so I've added your post to it.
You'll need to read from the beginning now to catch up.

There shouldn't be any beasties in, but there might be eggs about.
Just place your bag of flour in the freezer overnight and that will kill any possibles off.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there.
