I love lock and lock too...it's great, never fails. If I had my way, I'd fill the house with it. If I could keep the kids in it, I would!

PS they also solved my hm bread problem...i love that box!

    HI

Today in my local Wilkinson (Aldershot) their lock and lock 'style' boxes were half price - they seem ok, obviously not as good as the originals but for half price im not complaining - Im presuming they are also on sale at other Wilko stores. Cant wait to get my flour into them as today I dropped a bag on my head from the cupboard and it looked like snow in my kitchen (and all over me!!)

  • Must add another vote for Lock & Lock - I love mine! Superb - take soup to work and not worry about it leaking, perfect. I really want to get the cake/bread box but it's £15 in John Lewis. Cheaper on Lakeland but then I'll be tempted into a multitude of other, unnecessary purchases... :o

Can anyone tell me what size I need to buy to store 3lb flour, 3lb sugar etc? On the Lakeland site capacity is listed as litres and I have no idea how to covert this!

    Hi RS

For 1.5KG bags of flour (approx 3lb) I use the 1.8 litre. On the Lakeland website it is item 2378 and costs £2.99. The bag of flour (sr/plain/bread) fits in very snugly (it JUST fits), still in its paper wrapper and unopened.

I don't know how bulky your 31b bag of sugar is (as its about dimensions as well as capacity), so I can't comment on whether that will fit in whole. I;m sure it would fit in if you tipped the sugar out of the bag into the box.

    Edited to add:
My breadmaker loaf needs 500g of flour, so I also open a 1.5KG bag of breadflour and weigh it into three separate lock&lock containers, each with exactly 500g flour. Then when I am in a hurry I just have to reach for a container and tip it all in. The right sized container for this is the 850ml one, item 2483. It only just fits and I have to tamp it down a bit to get it all in.

    Hope that helps
  • I am well and truly addicted to lock n lock. I received another 12 piece order from qvc today. It is a wonderful storage system and I needed a few more boxes last week so I bought 2 more sets. They`re so hard wearing that I reckon I`ll be able to leave them to my daughters in my will

I just had the egg box today and it`s already in use in the fridge. I might put a couple in my bedside drawer for the bits and bobs that make it messy. i`m also waiting for a bulk order of organic stoneground bread flour this weekand I`ll pack it into boxes straight away so that the pesky mites don`t come a calling

I bought a set of 16 at the QVC outlet in Warrington on Wednesday. Got it home and there were actually 20 pieces in the box, must've been cos they had loads of half broken sets around. :D

    This One

    Best thing - cost me £12 :D

    Hi All

Just to let you know that Lakeland are currently offering the Lock&Lock Cereal Dispenser (£8.99) as a free gift if you spend £55 or more.

It didn't come up when I placed my order online (maybe just a blip) but I knew about it because it was on a paper order form I had. I emailed their customer services, and they immediately offered to send it to me.

    Their customer service is fab.
