They did warn us, it had up "Megadeals coming" for some time!!! We just didn't know what it meant!!!!! Grrrrr!

I thought they meant as well as, not instead of. AND I didn't see any warning that they were going to change overnight. They could have warned us so we could withdraw vouchers, knowing they were changing.

I know the reason they did it, is so they don't have to pay out.

Amazing how long it took, but they've finally gone - a real sign of the times.

Strange how these sites find different ways to die: they all seem to be run by slightly nutty people who can't let go in any sensible way. Seems a shame that, having painstakingly built up a large base of users, they've got no idea what to do with it and have effectively thrown it away.

Thanks to all here for your banter, help and advice - they stole our clicks, but at least we had a few laughs.

edit: I received an Amazon voucher this morning (ordered 17th Sept) so they seem to be honouring at least some orders in progress. hth

Really - no more clicking for points?! Well I redeemed my o/s points for an amazon voucher last month so I think I'll leave it there.

Thanks to everyone who took the trouble to post answers and links everyday :)
  • For those waiting for a voucher I received my Amazon voucher today. Be careful if you receive one as it expires on the day that you receive it.

This has been posted by Pigsback on their facebook page:

"The old Pigsback.com business in the UK operated under Empathy Marketing UK Ltd has ceased to trade due to ongoing losses. As a result the old Pigsback.com programme in the UK was closed on 5 Oct 2011.

However the new Mega Deals business operated by the parent company Empathy Marketing Limited has undertaken to offer all members Mega Credits with a value at least equivalent to their old PiggyPoi...nt balances, with a minimum of £5 in credit all cases. Empathy Marketing Limited is the owner of the brand and member data.

For example, if your balance was 3,000 PiggyPoints you could have exchanged this for a £10 reward. Now you have 1000 credits instead worth £10 in Mega Deals. You can use your 1000 credits to purchase a Mega Deal to the value of £10 and very soon you will also be able to make a part-payment for any Mega Deal using your credits, in this example getting a £10 discount for the 1000 credits. So the conversion rate used is 3 PiggyPoints = 1 Mega Deal credit.

If you are unhappy with this you can cancel your account at any time.

We wish to thank you, our UK members, for all your support over the years and we hope that you will accept and in time appreciate this change"

  • How very annoying.

It just feels like the whole world is trying to rip me off today. I too have under a tenner. I would like to spend it and cancel my account. In my closest city (Bristol) there was a deal for food and a drink for under a tenner. But when I try to click on it it just takes me back to the start page again. Anyone else have this problem?
