Morning Lynz, and anyone else waiting for that call.
I have rung EAs, and sols. No movement or information at all - sols said you do realise it is only 9.45? Apparently most of them don't open their post till 11am, and why ring or fax when a letter takes two days longer......
Tearing my hair out here, poor OH did not sleep at all and he has had to go to work. Think we are going to go to the supermarket, at least then I will have done something useful today.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
that how I feel too .
My original sol is back from leave today- so I dont think I should really call until at least 11.
my mate said she might go out shopping today, nad part of me is up for it, but IM also almost housebound as my new bank card is being delivered
So frustrating. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Hiya,
Been following your progress on this thread and I'm in a similar boat too. we just need our buyer's solcicitor to deal with a query and get back to us. this has taken all last week and she has been off sick. An associate has looked at it Friday but nobody is doing anything about it. We need to know if they require an indemnity policy or not ( actually they don't but we would pay for one if they insisted so the chain wasn't held up ). It simply needs someone at our buyers office to just look at the case and then report back!
This is all compounded by nobody being able to get hold of them in the first place. My Solicotor spent 11 minutes on hold last Friday to no avail and Estate Agent has the same problem getting through.
I hope all your sales and purchases make progrss today.0 -
well ive just heard my sol isnt back till weds thursday this week - via email from the secretary whos fab.
Ive jsut replied with "whos dealing with it this week as IM awaiting exchange"
completion on friday is looking more distant now
good luick lewolf. theres an amazing amount of sickness at conveyancers isnt there? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

email recieved back
AARGh the buyers sol has requested copt of the planning permission for building the flats. and they are awaiting those coming back
for heavens sake. Why so bloody late in the day? he said he was ready to exchange once the extra enquiries were back :beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

I am fed up. I still waiting for my mortgage offer from 1st national since seeing a broker bearly 3 weeks ago. I also paid then for a survey which was done a week last Friday so I was told by sellers. No survey, no mortgage offer and my solicitor and sellers EA are asking how is it progressing.0

Finally had a response from sols, FTB at the bottoms solicitor is on holiday and no-one at their sols can help. FTB is not returning selling agents calls.
hmmmm
Def not Friday now, if ever.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Def not Friday now, if ever.
this sums up EXACTLY how im feeling.
I dont understand what the situation is, why does my buyer need to see the planning permission. Obviosuly my sol is on leave still & the stand-in not available
Ive just managed to motivate myself to give the kitchen a once over but right about now I just cant see the value in doing anything.
Really really pi55ed off with it all today
hugs to you hex, carp innit:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
