I hope this all ends soon. I can see why people say moving is stressful now!
Our buyers still haven't received their mortgage offer. They are 3 friends buying together. First there was some c*ck up with arranging the survey so it was weeks after it should have been. Now one of them apparently got his boss to send a reference to the bank who say they never received it! I'm getting rather jittery. I think if our sale falls through we'll lose the house we want and prices are shooting up all the time. I've really fallen for the house we're buying now too. I did a drive-by today and I think it's such a fabulous house in a fabulous area.
Oh well it's out of my hands at the moment.

Good luck leftieM! Everyone around us is really excited about us buying the house except, uh, us... We refuse to celebrate till the day we exchanged contracts (hopefully not too far in the future now!) or think about the property too much (except that we have gone into furniture shops a couple of times cos we couldn't help it but so far resisted ordering anything!). Stay strong, chase as much as you can on your side. Our EA wouldn't be arsed to do anything if we didn't push for it!

I'm glad I posted! Thanks for the nice words. If it all falls through then we'll just have to take the financial hit and think about looking for another house. I will cry a bit though!

Don't know what to do but someone needs to kick our vendor and get her to make some phone calls!
House purchase completed 6th December whole process took 4 months.

I wish someone told me what is goin on  - i dont know how long i can keep up with this  , i remember reading, the pack the solitor sent that they will keep us informed all the way through, i cant see this happening at all

Why o why is this so stressing, the only thing thats keepin me goin with this is that we love the house so much and everything ticks the boxes for us.

Spoke to sols today - still no search in the post but found out why (why I wasn't told this last week rather than we'll put in the post, I don't know). Apparently it's 'very unusual' (!typical!) but part of the search is missing so it is being chased up and can't receive until it's allthere - great!
But, on the postive side (at last) sols spoke to buyers sols and they're ready to go, and to vendor's sols and they're ready to go.
So, it now seems like everyone's ready except, er...due to the searches...me!!!!!!:rotfl:
peeps of house we're buying are also going on hols at the end of Nov so sale has to be tied up before - this is good news in a way as makes me think things might actually happen, but I can't help worry that, if they don't, we'd have to wait till they get back to complete - who knows how long they're away for. Oh well, gonna pray things happen before then!

Thanks. We accepted the offer on 16th September. It's not the worst situation. We went to the solicitor this afternoon and he's a diamond. Everything seems to be pottering along. We heard this afternoon that our buyers' mortgage offer is being issued within the next 24 hours so phew! We may be moving in the next few weeks.

Looks like today is the day of, uh, nothing happening!

Called the EA yesterday as there is a question mark over fixtures that were meant to be left behind but not in the furnishings and fixtures list. Thank goodness I dug out an email I sent to the EA to confirm that vendors were indeed leaving those behind. Basically, forwarded it to her and said, if there was a problem, you should have brought it up earlier so now it looks like her fault and she better fix it. Oh well, we are meeting the EA tomorrow as we are going to the house to measure up. She better has an answer for me then!

Called our solicitor today and queries raised with sellers' solicitor still not resolved. Nothing happening!
