Mumof2 I know what you mean and I can relate to the mess getting you down thing - I have been ebaying for the last couple of weeks - a few things everyday and just getting rid of lots of bits has made a difference - it doesnt have to be huge jobs that you tackle but just be consistently trying to do stuff - I take my hat of to you for wanting to break the cycle and get the better of your depression - you have made the first brave step - well done you!I think part of my depression is the state the house gets in when I don't do stuff and I don't do stuff when I get depressed and the cycle goes on from there. So I'm determined to break the cycle for good now - hence coming back to you guys!!! Feeling much more positive already but of course I haven't seen one of Pigpen's lovely lists for a looooooong time
greenbee I hope the christening goes well and that OH feels a bit better after talking to your Dad - talking def helps. (((hugs)))

Mumof2 welcome home, from a fellow hibernating/sand burrying person

Toots I'm not sure, he would love to go back to engineering but not even had an interview where he has applied for work.
DS2 had a wobble as he couldn't find his bottle and he's tired, he's a terror for it and won't settle until he's had one. Sports bottle not a baby one but he would have a baby one if I let him. He's pacified with a rinsed out old water bottle eventually. Can't get him off them without more anxiety, melt downs and sleepless nights than I can cope with. Still blame him being a no dummy baby as he couldn't have them.
Managed to do Another couple of washer loads, DS2s bed sheets again. Waiting for the duvet in the TD to finish so I can get them to bed. Going to challenge myself tomorrow to an empty waging basket, it's been a week (since DS2s camp) and getting that blasted kitchen finished! One day I might be more organised...........

So gonna chill and watch a bit of tv then bed, night all. xxSometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Greenbee - wishing you all a peaceful day for the christening tomorrow and a safe journey for you and OH on Monday.
toots - hope your day tomorrow is better.
I never got further than the daily stuff. Don't know if AF is responsible for this CBA mood. DH and DS1 are out (not together, though) and DS2 is tucked up in bed. I should be doing stuff - definitely not short of things to do - but can't get going. I might have a short power nap (not expecting anyone back for ages) and then make a start on the budget. Once that's sorted I can think about ordering stuff and I might go to M'hell with DH on Tuesday, too.0 -
Change of plan (AGAIN!) - I went to walk into the kitchen and managed to knock a lamp over smashing the bulb all over the floor  No idea how I managed it but there you go. So out came the bread to get all the glass up, followed by Henry then a mop.

Lady-Liberty wrote: »AnW's Well done getting the lights up honey ... I always think of you & DH with fondness whenever I see "flashing" Christmas lights ... hope you don't mind me saying but that gives me a lot of comfort in my present situation ... I'm sure he is smiling down on you today ... enjoy them xx
Thanks
always feels good once they are up. Lovely to see you posting, hoping you find more comfort in the coming days. xxLast year I wrote the Christmas cards for the family and didn't post them for various (lazy, disorganised) reasons. Would it be very bad to post the same ones this year and hope I wrote nothing date pertinent?
Think we must be twins, I have a load for friends that never got sent
but I know I never right 'best wishes for 20xx' or such like so they will be ok this year
Although the year DH died I almost sent out a few cards that hadn't gone the year before and thought it better not to send them on the grounds that DH's name was on them as well!!!toottifrootti wrote: »AnW'sMum well done with the lights and the road and the ladders - tree next??????:p:rotfl:
