    Hi everyone,
Have had a catalogue of disasters here since Thursday. My Wm and kitchen sink were out of action, and when OH looked at it the waste pipe from the sink had flowed into the washing machine, so when he opened the door we got a flooded kitchen. Then all of a sudden I started feeling absolutely awful, fluey-type thing, hot but shivery etc. Woke up on Friday morning with a sore red eye too. Friday was another day with no kitchen because of the washing machine in the middle of the floor, feeling like pants so got no flying done. Landlord came and fixed the drain - he's a plumber and said it was probably not draining as quickly as it should so it froze. Anyway, that got fixed so I've spent the day today feeling like rubbish, trying to catch up with the washing (we used ALL the towels to mop up the flood) and cleaning the kitchen. Then DS1 started throwing up at 6 this evening and has been puking every half hour since. Poor thing hasn't got anything left in his stomach to bring up so now he's just gagging. I've been waiting for NHS direct to call me back since 9.30 when really I just want to go to bed. I think my other eye is going gunky and I have a rash up my arm. Oh, and OH lost his job Thursday eve too.

Sorry for the long rant, just needed to vent. Feeling sorry for myself I guess. I hope everyone else is ok and not too affected by the weather x
    So, there are these boys,

Helly.. don't wait for NHS direct they are a complete waste of time!!! If he is retching on an empty stomach get at least water down him, (flat coke is often said to help).. it is so painful to have nothing to bring up so even a few little sips of water is better than nothing.. Check his temp and for signs of dehydration and call the out of hours doc.. that is what they are paid for.. to see sick people between 6pm and 8am!!!! Sounds like all is fun at yours today!! And I have an apparently drunk teenager to deal with.. we've gone beyond silly and have now gone to bed wailing!!! I hate blubbering drunks.

All the girls presents wrapped.. so the boys can be done tomorrow as well as Jacobs, Tabithas and every else can be done as and when I get round to it..

I've had both WM's, the TD, the DW and the kettle on constantly today.. I now have empty baskets and clean dishes!

  • Ergh...I had a bad dream last night, where I was being fattened up by The Bloke for slaughter like an old sow. Think my subconscious has stomped its way into my conscious mind to tell me it is time to stop eating so much.

So I am sitting here, having had considerably less food today than I have eaten in a very long time. I have even turned down a few snacks brought to me this evening.

I am hungry. And can't sleep.

    :(

Why did my subconscious decide to tell me this just before Christmas????????
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

For exactly that reason.. it knows you are thinking about pigging out over christmas and gaining 5 stone and is telling you to start being careful now.

    Morning All

I've just being catching up on what you've been up to in the last couple of days. Went to bed as soon as I got back last night as I was absolutely shattered after only getting a coupl of hours sleep the previous night.

Loads to do today really but not sure where to start. Might start with having a bit of a sort out of presents. Still haven't found my little book with my list of presents in and I really need to find it otherwise DH us going to have to get all the present out of the loft so I can see what's up there!

Greenbee - hugs - hope everything works out for you. You know where I am if you want to chat.

    Hugs to everyone else too.

    Have a good day all

JoJo I hope you got some sleep. I woke up at 6:50 starving so have had first breakfast and having a cuppa now

Holly - have a hug that is a few horrid days. Hope you and DS are feeling better soon.

My DS3 has a gunky eye - is there an OTC way to treat this or is it script only?

Massive list of stuff to get on with today so I think I'll enlisting help LR&C. Kids can start by room tidying and then there is the old fence to break up and stack as fire wood.

Helly - sending you hugs and coping vibes. Hope your DS is feeling better and doesn't pass his bug on to the rest of you.

I woke up at 7.30 (not like me on a Sunday morning), so WM and TD are already on. Feeling slightly spaced out and not sure why. Something to do with my ears, I think. Will keep an eye on this.

After the big thaw yesterday it's frozen again overnight and there are no temperatures above 0 on the weather forecast for a few days. Going to sort breakfast and plan the day/week. Lots to do and need to prioritise. Have a good Sunday, everyone. x
