This is a special hug for Toots and Mumof2...sounds like you need one each.

Awwww, many thanks Triker - that was a lovely hug and I feel much better now!
:)
I think part of my depression is the state the house gets in when I don't do stuff and I don't do stuff when I get depressed and the cycle goes on from there. So I'm determined to break the cycle for good now - hence coming back to you guys!!! Feeling much more positive already but of course I haven't seen one of Pigpen's lovely lists for a looooooong time :eek:Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
I haven't done too much today, my maiden aunt is visiting...you know Florence...old bag...does my head in!
Anyways, done a bit of christmas shopping, dropped youngest off in town so she could go shopping with her friend. There is a slight thaw here, hoping like mad it continues.
Other than debating wether or not to go out with hubby or stay in and stay warm, bit of a no brainer really.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Greenbee the kids are old enough to know that some relationships don't work and that parents move on, what would happen if their mum started seeing someone would they feel the same? I'm sure they would be fine in time. Your OH needs to concentrate on you and him and your relationship with no outside interference. I think this trip this week could do you both wonders, getting away from everyone. A trip to the gp might help him get his head around things to. I really really hope it works out for both of you's. xxxGreenbee, Hope things are better this morning. It is easy to tell yourself at the start that getting involved with someone who had fairly recently split with his wife wasn't going to be straightforward, but the reality can be so painful. It is especially painful when she blames it on you regardless of the actual facts of you not being involved pre split and her personal contribution to the breakdown. 'Wife Stealing Floozy' is what DHs XW refers to me as to the SSs - despite the reality. I try to laugh about it but it isn't funny really.gratefulforhelp wrote: »greenbee how are things in the light of day?
Thanks all... we had a shaky morning, but kept busy all day. He's had a chat to my dad which hopefully has helped, and he's not doing too badly. We're leaving it up to him as to whether he wants to join us for the christening tomorrow. If he doesn't, he can use the packing for our work trip as a valid excuse, as he hasn't been able to get home since Tuesday, and obviously has a lot to do to prepare.0 -
Toots - thanks for my bum wiggling dancers, they dance in exactly the same style as my 3 year old son - I love it.
Greenbee - Hope tomorrow goes OK and you both get through the day, be it together or apart.

Evening! Rain has melted all the snow and the ice rink in my road so I have been into town today
Don't remember ever being so pleased to see rain! I managed to get a few pressies and used the double up on Tesco vouchers to buy a new jumper and some 'handwarmer' type gloves.I think part of my depression is the state the house gets in when I don't do stuff and I don't do stuff when I get depressed and the cycle goes on from there.
