Helly, hope your son feels better now and you improve soon too; you've had a rotten time of it. I've tried NHS Direct before but they were so busy so just went straight to my local out of hours number and they were able to help in 30 mins.

Dusty, I find cooled boiled water helps even now the kids are older or there is some drops you can buy over the counter called Brolene - you can get them at Boots http://www.boots.com/en/Brolene-0.1-w-v-Eye-Drops-10ml_11311/ (just Googled eye drops as couldn't remember the name of the drops!)

Jojo, not a nice dream! I've been eating more but thankfully have been getting lots of exercise too so it doesn't show. If you're like me I eat more in the cold weather - it is so nice to sit in the warm scoffing a packet of biscuits :o!

Pigpen, drunk teenager eh? Thankfully got a while before I need to deal with that but not looking forward to it. Congratulations on your baby too - when I was here last you were 20 weeks pregnant!!

DH still in bed as he went to a do last night and didn't get in til 3 this morning so I've been good and left him to sleep. DD asleep too; she's had some late nights as just started Cubs and didn't get in til 8.35 on Thursday after a late night the night before (Beavers).

Lots to do today and want to go to Church this evening. Going to do a sausage casserole in the SC today so we'll have a yummy tea! See you later x

Morning, DS feeling a bit better this morning, he's had a drink and some toast and kept it down so far. He's now curled up on my lap commenting on everyone's avatars - Pigpen yours is apparently a reindeer-goat. He said goat, I said reindeer, he said reindeer goat so we settled on a compromise. NHS direct never called back  I stayed up until 1.30 waiting, at which point I decided if he got any worse I'd call them again. OH slept on sofa cushions on his bedroom floor and despite saying he'd get up with them this morning he didn't. So I'm tired, grumpy, still poorly and feel a little bit sick myself. Baby has puked non stop this morning. He is a bit of a sicky baby, but I can't tell if this is just posseting or he's ill too. He seems fine in himself though so I'll just keep an eye on him. Thank you everyone for the hugs etc x

    Morning,

I feel as if I have let the side down this week - no snowmen for me!

I think it is post holiday blues and AF giving severe CBA.

The house is a tip and i still haven't unpacked!

DH is going to do the Mr T run this morning and I will blast for an hour. Then we are going out for a Thai lunch as it's my birthday today. :T

DH has just asked me to help do his hair with one of those clipper things - I hate it! I am so rubbish with anything like that. Wish me luck that he doesn't have any bald patches :rotfl:Well more bald patches than normal! I have to go over his massive scar as well which makes my stomach go funny..........

Didn't really get much flying done, except about two hours ironing, the baskets were empty for about an hour!. Going to have a quick tidy downstairs, try and finish Fridays list and list some stuff on eBay. DD also has a Christingle service to attend this afternoon.

    Morning all,

Hellyboo - sending you massive hugs. Sounds like you have really been through the mill, I hope your little one is on the road to recovery now.

Very cold here this morning. Same as you MrsC all yesterdays thaw is now frozen solid so am very pleased I got out an about yesterday while it was wet and not slippy. Mind you, I must be the only person who can go to the supermarket and the next day open the fridge and realise I have nothing for todays main meal. I was so tired last night the plan to take out some chicken to cook off went straight out the window, in fact I was in bed by 9.30.

Today I am feeling a bit blue and drowsy but hopefully that will ease as the morning kicks in.

My big 31 ebeast list finishes today and at the minute half are selling and I have about £40 which is fab!! I must try to resist checking it every ten minutes though otherwise I will do nothing today.

Hoping to make my salt dough and cut the shapes out so I can paint/decorate them over the week ahead.

Ok, must make a move got coffee and mince pies with mum and dad at 10

    Love, Hugs and Spoons
    Sarah xx

Dusty - We get 'Optrex for Infected eyes' which is a liquid antibiotic. They will sell it over the counter in the pharmacy although they may want to have a look at him.
    Happy birthday Maxonian
Huge hugs Hellyboo, Lil-me, and Mumof2 - and anyone else who needs them.

Lil-me - do you still have a huge storecupboard stash? Can you make yourself use some of this up to get through the short term? I had do when DH lost his job, and I found it quite painful. Slowly building it back up again now.

I did too much yesterday, and stopping taking the ibuprofen has had a big impact. Need to just potter today but I want to keep bimbling away at some of the mess.

ETA Kazw - it sound lovely, and you are less than an hour away from me.....
