spare screenwash,
scraper,
toasty-toes (the things you activate and it gives you so many hours of heat)
wind up torch,
wind up radio,
car phone charger (should actually get a new wind up one for the HTC as I had one for my old phone)
packets of hot chocolate/coffee/tea/sugar,
some of those hotel shortie biscuits, dried soup,
Hipflask of something warming
a camping gaz stove (ok, a bit extreme, but we do live in Perthshire) Several bottles of bottled water, a shovel,
two old coal sacks (for traction)
tyreweld,
spare socks
spare hats/gloves
a folding shovel
but if we have to go up the glen (hubby has a shooting and fishing shop, so that sometimes happens at this time of year)we add to this
Sleeping bags,
Hot water bottles
spare clothing and shoes
waterproofs.
We also know where the various thermos flasks are (all in one place) and fill them with hot water before we go.
HTH...
Edit: sorry, I sound like miss prissy-organised, but we do end up travelling in winter with hubby's job quite a bit at times. x
