Dh and DB have gone on a road trip (250 miles)to bring DS1 home from uni as he is not well. He still hasn't slept since the incident in September. I think he needs some counselling. So any good vibes prayers etc would be very welcome.

Sorry to hear about your DS1 poohbear. Hopefully he'll feel a bit better in the home atmosphere. <<hugs>>

Has anyone any idea where my surprised face is?

KH said at 8 this morning he would get them from school.. then at 1 said he couldn't... and I replied to not bother they weren't expecting him anyway.. andd my surprised face is nowhere to be found!

at 1pm your reply should have been -

"Well you had better make alternative arrangements to have them collected and cared for then - as I am at *insert name of place where you 'are' and cannot get back in time from* ;) but I will be home by *insert time* as I said"

I once moved my car and sat in the house with everything switched off because I knew exH was bringing the Vallikids back 2 hours early because they had told me but he hadn't checked with me if that was OK. I figured that that way he might learn not to assume I was there to have the kids back at his whim. Had he bothered to tell me he'd been invited to a wedding it would have been a different matter. This was when they were too young to be left. Anyway, they couldn't get in - no keys ;)

It isn't worth it tbh it only means he is horrible to the children. We agreed at mediation he would have them from school on Tuesdays... obviously he is just desperate to see them.. seeing as he keeps telling them he wants them to live with him yet he can't get off his lazy !!!! to pick them up one day a week!!

plus the 10 minute appt at podiatry took over an hour so Tiddles didn't go back to school.

Christening cake is in the oven. Mixture didn't feel quite right though, so it's probably a good think I've made it in advance!

Need to do my end of year self-assessment for my appraisal now while listening to a conference call. Then maybe a spot of housework before reflexology :D

Just need to give the tv and windows a wipe and then LR will be done :j

I'm just heading back out into the snow to the launderette and Mr S, need to get some snacks and things to take to Disneyland - food prices there have gone up loads since we last went and my DS eats non stop so going to stock up on little snacks so we don't use all our spending money filling him up :D Must also remember Calpol as we've run out and bound to need some if I don't take any...

DH came home from work at lunchtime as it looked as though he might get stuck there, and the house he's working on doesn't have heating yet. I sent him and DD to pick up DS from school and they are now at the inlaws playing in the snow. Kitchen is all clean and shiny, LR is all clean and shiny, hall is hoovered, bathroom is clean and shiny, beds are made... I'm sure this isn't my flat :rotfl:
