  • Your storage heater problem sounds like either a fuse or possibly just a trip switch. If it's a big-ish house there is a good chance that some of the heaters will be on one circuit and the rest on another. First thing to check is the trip switches in your main electrical box - fingers crossed one of them will look different to the others (if it's anything like ours then one will have "popped out" whereas the others will all be pushed in) - if so, try just pushing it back in - it might trip straight out again when the heaters try to go on tonight but worth a try anyway. I'll cross my fingers for you.

As for having turned into a grow-up, don't be so utterly ridiculous - of course you haven't! :D

Ooh can he inspire mine? Mine is too scared to even try, bless!

    P.S I am a bit of a lurker I'm afraid!

    Hello Vl2588

Delurk at once - I would like it very much! Oh you have:rotfl:

Lt _ :D well done on the wrapping

EH - I wondered about that - will go look:D

We've put up a very dodgy arrangement of old dead wood and fairy lights and decorations - no proper tree this year (kids off) and we've an aurucaria hetrophylla (Norfolk Island Pine) down stairs all glammed up anyway - but its a long way from the sitting room upstairs and I can't carry it upstairs as its too big (6ft growing in a pot)

I hope cheery likes it. Rather sorry looking but full of thought.

Off to rummage in the fuse box

    Oh and another thing

Why do ALL of the fin'g fairy lights give up now when they've been good all year??????

hope your heating is sorted out.
Our bloomin gas cyclinder has died, got less than a month from it but it has been a cold month and i have been ill, therefore at home more. Gonna get OH to replace it tomorrow on his way to work.
Love the little socks, how the heck did your lodger knit them? they are so cute, i think your real chucks would be better off with leg warmers though al la 80's style!

    Oh no poor you LT

I know what a clever lodger eh? she knitted one for all of us (me the kids and peedie!) and put a sweetie in there for us and a bonio for peedie - thats all that would fit in it :rotfl:

How long must that have taken - very thoughtful though.

Nice to find them in a box today and put them out.
