Morning Pippi! Something was battering off the windows last night? That doesn't sound good either - mind you, the landlord can't do much about hail
I'm glad you're in hibernation, but boo hiss to the extra work being cancelled. My plans for Christmas - try and catch up on what I "should" have been doing - and carry on getting straight in the house - I was tidying up and painting the Christmas tree this morning2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Yeah wierdly 3 of the storage heaters have stopped working (nice timing) dunno what on earth is up with them - all one one side of the house.
Of course this means nowt as no one could get here anyway!
I hate electric heating.
Hope the tree goes good KC

Airport shut, ferries cancelled (not all of them but a few) and the a9 shut north of Brora for 50 miles - no trains..................

We had a quick snowstorm today, no more than an hour and less than an inch and it took me almost 2 hours to get the 26 miles from work to home
Can't imagine what would happen if they got even 6 inches down here
Glad you are safe, pah to the naughty storage heaters packing up, hope you have some alternative heating or you will freeze up there :j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -

We've a plug in radiator and other electric heating - don't want a power cut

Warm and toasty here thanks :T Glad you have an additional source of heating, fingers firmly crossed that the power does not fail though.
Excellent news for you about the green grocer, not long to wait and you will be able to play to your hearts contentI daren't touch one in case I want one for me. Gotta buy OH one for his birthday and I may have to buy a lappie if the meanies won't let me keep this one when they make me redundant. Can't buy anything else AT ALL as I need to save the money in case I don't get another job.

thanks for thinking of me. Was wrapping up pressies last night so didn't get online at all, tonight i'm taking a break from them as i can't be bothered.
Hope you're keeping as warm as you can Pippi, i also heard reports about Orkney on the radio today, so please don't try to go far, there's nothing desparate enough to justify it.
Got home today to OH having baked his first ever cake, just from a recipe. It is lovely and yummy and he's a very clever boy. I shall expect more from now on in!0 -
Ooh can he inspire mine? Mine is too scared to even try, bless!
