Hi Pippi
So pleased about the '6o%' thing:T
Good to hear the girls are still laying. My physio's hens have slowed up a lot but they are 'rescue ' battery hens so I guess anything is a bonus.
Just seen a weather warning for Orkney about snow so hope you can get home soon and safely tucked up .0 -

first credit got a letter yesterday from the financial ombindsman - today at 8.30 they called me and told me they were going to uphold their 60% offer. (until the end of December)
Wooohooooo doesn't even come close
thank u so much for giving me advise and urging me to take it further!!!
Xxxx
Yippeee!! Good for you!0 -
:jWhoop Pippi !
That's my second 'whoop' today - Hypno has exchanged contracts on her new house!Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0 -
Hurray! You beat the banks! And its so nice to see photies of the chooks
mind you, not so nice to hear of the gales carrying on inside the house
is the wind a bit better today?
Get that payment off sharpish! 60% discount is *really* too good to miss2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
hello thank you all - you knnow YOU lot did it not me - I was licking my wounds and feeling like an idiot!!
Anyway I'm homeKC nope - the winds are NOT better - got to work ok - half way through today they came and told me to go home.
Never driven in anything like it before - like a humungous sand storm - but with black ice under snow which has (in places) drifted over the road - you go between not wanting to slide, not being able to see a thing into up and over snow drifts and kind of hope for the best - bit like trying to drive on a ski slope in a sand storm in the middle of a gale - very very wierd.
Not keen to go out in it again tbh. barely got down the track here cos of the snow - kinda just went for it and gently rolled over the worst of the drifting whilst crossing fingers and repeating the words in a mantra all the way home
oh duck, oh duck, oh duck, ooooohhhhhhh duck, over and over again
Home now though - it appears out door is not properly shutting at the bottom here - we've drifted snow inside the door up the side of the wall where the wind has hit the door full on - lol
no wonder the massive curtain over the door is moving about!!
I'm off to be brave and phone the evil first credit folk and pay that bill off - wonder what the FO said to them

Or you could even call the FO helpline to see if they have a standard response to these sort of things - I've seen similar complaints about pensions and the pensions ombudsman does... http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/contact/index.html#1
Candles and camomile tea is definitely the way forward for tonight. Oh, and about the tidying up in a crisis - you are very welcome here any time you are cross

Gosh Pippi, that sounds very scary and I can completely empathise because 'twas black ice under snowdrift that was my downfall. You stay put until it is safe again.
Good luck with that phonecall. I always get extra pleasure by being super nice (and sarcastic) whilst smiling and being aloof. Well it makes me feel good and hopefully makes them feel like cr*p.
Gorgeous flowers and a really nice cheerful way to open a post. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0
