Hooray Pippi! :j :j What a good start to the day indeed :D

And I *love* thinking of you looking yourself in the eye and telling yourself you're a good gardener :D I might do the same thing :D (although with something other than gardening - don't think there's anyone in the world who could convince me I'm a good one of those :rotfl: :rotfl:) :D

((((((((cheri))))))))))) you look after yourself girl xx

Hey Pippi, well done on invigilating money. Cant sleep much at the moment hence the early wakeups.
I am sorry I did not mean to suggest that PHD has not been an issue for you, I was just trying to say that sometimes in life we have these hang ups no matter what we go through.
I love the way KC described it
but also in general upbringing, the same kind of fear that got my phobias going - I beat the phobias, but I can't pretend the fear still isn't there, because it is ..
Mr C tells me that I have the Catholic Guilt Trip syndrome about lots of things and he is right. I dont believe that I deserve to earn as much as I do, I dont believe that I deserve nice things, I dont believe that I am intelligent. Despite others telling me so.
Anway I know that you will find ways to overcome things. I just found this quote (I am a sucker for quotes)
"The answer to three questions will determine your success or failure.
1 - Can people trust me to do my best?
2 - Am I committed to the task in hand?
3 - Do I care about other people and show it?
If the answers to all three questions are yes, there is no way you can fail." - Lou Holtz

I figure that would be a really good mantra when deciding if you should ask for a deposit and you are doubting yourself. No idea who Lou Holz is other than a sportsperson.

Oh I love those questions! Those are brilliant, Cheri! And I'm glad that the way I put the stuff about fear resonated for you.

That is really interesting Cheri- i often feel guilt over things, especially irrational things.

Did you go to a catholic school by any chance? It kind of made sense to me when Mr C pointed it out. I no longer practice, in fact I say that I am a "recovering catholic" but I think that I have a long way to go. :rotfl:

No, but my mother did:cool: I think i have a refined guilt complex from my youth- i often felt guilty over the littlest of things. I think some of it was because i was the eldest, so had responsibility for a lot of things. I have had to work hard as an adult to overcome it, but i don't always succeed..so i too have a long way to go.

i'm not Catholic but i always seem to feel guilty over something i've done, may have done, havent' done but worry others think i have done. Heavens it's small wonder i survive with all this going on in my head!

great start to the day Pippi, hope you get lots more starts like that.

I came home early and ended up doing some decluttering, not what i intended but i'm glad i've finally made a start.

HA! guilt is a funny thing. I always look guilty coming through customs even if I have nothing!!!

Pip, thank you (hugs) no credit to reply but it meant a lot and made me laugh out loud whilst wandering round the forest. THANKYOU
