Well done on laying half the plastic Pippi, despite the wind!

Been weeding in the front garden all morning, and it's looking so much better. It was engulfed mainly by cleavers (goose-grass / sticky-wullie, call it what you will :D)
, which at least is easy to pull up and wrap up into a ball. Many barrow-loads later, we can actally see what plants have survived the winter. Unfortunately a few treasure have gone, but a couple I thought had bought it are just starting to break into growth below their lifeless tops. Now I have space to find homes for plants I am digging up in the back garden. :j I just hope they survive the move. :)

Anyway got to get back out there and dig over the parched soil...might have to find some more HM compst to bulk it up later on in the week....another of the bins is ready to be emptied thank goodness.

Have a great weekend everyone, whatever you are doing.

    HI All
I only seem to have had time to lurk this week but here I am, bright and windburned from the garden:j
I've potted up some peas and beans, weeded out the dreaded mares tail from the back garden:eek: and am now contemplating growing cabbages and some small carrots in tubs. Everything is growing like mad. Oh and I've just found a half sack of elderly Growmore that I didn't know I had (back corner of the shed where trainee tarantulas live).
Pippi, You may not realise how brilliant you are but we do. If necessary list us all by name ,you know, LT, Cheri ,GV etc say I'm amazing and tape it up next to the mirror that you are going to look into and tell yourself that.:D

HOpe you survived the wind Pippi! :j :j I've been out digging rubble with a friend - finally feel like we're getting somewhere and put the world to rights too in the meantime :D

(trying to talk her into moving to Orkney too - not sure I'm winning, but think I'm certainly bringing her round to the idea of a holiday! :D)

I would move to Orkney tomorrow if I could!! Not sure if DH would be completely amenable though! Anyway, DS2 still @ home, so no chance for a year or two, but hopefully some day......:)

Hope you aren't too windswept Pippi...glad you got at least half of it done. :T

Having a late tea (was late getting in from the garden)...DH's prawn & courgette curry and HM (well, an AF packet!) naans......looks like it is ready now...yum!!

sounds like you've made great progress in your hedge planting schemes Pippi.
Glad the envelope arrived safely, sorry for the garbled message but was hurrying to get it into the post at work and wasn't sure what to write but was determined you should have some help with your patchwork lifestyle.

I've had a nice day today at a crop, made two more layouts which are pretty good, found a really old photo of my sister and i on a pier with some monkeys, obviously in the days before it was no longer the done thing.
Feeling a wee bit lonely tonight as Mr LT is again on nights, we're suposed to go out tomorrow but i'm not sure we'll make it by the time he's had some sleep. Will be disappointing but hey i can see and hear police dogs all the time, would have been good to see the Metropolitan puppies though, Talking about doggies Mr LT spotted a man with 4!!!!!!!! yes four!!!! sausage dogs, that's very greedy if you ask me, all i need is one to be happy.

I agree. Though I did have a funny dream about 2. I plan to retire to Spain with Mr GG (he knows and approves!) and would like a little dog (he refuses to acknowledge this part ;)), but I dreamt I had 2 sausage dogs - 1 red called Chorizo (Spanish spicy sausage for those who don't know) and 1 black called Morcilla (Spanish for black pudding). Everyone in the village knew them and used to talk to them when we went past. In reality I want a Jack Russell bouncy up & down cross, called Maisie or Daisy depending on my mood. Here is the rough template :D
