  • Morning Pippi - hope the teaching goes well this weekend (hope I've remembered correctly that's what you're up to!).

Cherisong - really liked the Lou Holtz quote. This it may get copied and pasted somewhere prominent in Greying towers - if that's ok?

  • Morning all

    Thank you GP :)

Cheri I love the quote! You are always great at those

OH is off on the ferry towards the 'sooth'

I am *supposed* to be laying 100m black matting and trenching it in today (tucking it in by a couple inches either side)
However, its a bit on the windy side

Darn that pesky wind - it will be a battle trying to do it in the wind and hte garden I'm helping in is up on a hill.

    Bah!

Anyway - thinking head on GP I am teaching tomorrow :)
LT - how did you know the first thing I would think is - well I'm not putting that cheque in the bank............! Thank you I promise I won't interfere with your spreadsheets.

Cheri I'm glad I made you laugh in a forest. :)

    Today
Freezer things out for cooking stuff for this next week
    Milk and bread out
    Washing on low temp
    DW on
    Eggs collected
About to go through plants and list on ebay (thank you L!) - I ordered some tomatoes same as mine (more research honest) with a free voucher - although 9.95 +4.95 delivery for 5 'jumbo plugs' of tomatoes - I'm interested to see what on earth they'll send for that money. T&Morgan - are a great company so interested to see what turns up in the post.
Potting up to do - I don't *do* pricking out - only potting up - we never did it at the nursery, so I'm now converted.
Need go into work greenhouse/tunnel and perhaps do more trays. and take some things home.
There's a car boot sale on sunday - but at the same time as I'm teaching (PAH!)

What else - look at bank
    CC payment
    More washing
Think if I can do a bit in that garden but not the long plastic matting laying.
    Kids to annoy
Oh, yeah and a bit of pesky thesis

:) morning to you all :)

I initially read this as 'the garden I'm helping is up on a hill' - I didn't see the 'in'. I liked the thought of you helping the garden to be the best it could be :). But that's not what you had said :(. But I bet you did mean it really as it's just the sort of thing you WOULD say :D.

What a brain dump that was :rotfl:

I love that you wrote that :)

Actually I've images from memiors of a geisha - you know with the silk washing in the river - beautiful colours blowing in the wind - that will be me but hanging on to the end of a long roll of black plastic for dear life trying not to end up in the sea.

I'm less geisha - more like the fairy from willow the wisp:rotfl:

    Morning Pippi

Gally :rotfl::rotfl: I read it the same way.

Pippi, you paint such wonderful images in my head with your writing. Now I will be thinking of you today flying away above the hills towards the sea hanging onto a black kite with stripey legs waving everywhere heading to adventures. Makes me think of an Enid Blyton book, like Mr Pinkwhistle or the Faraway Tree.

Sorry Mr Stripes is on a ferry but hopefully you will be so busy in the garden he will be back before you know it.

  • Well verdict - not raining - going to give it a go - will catch you all later :) xx
