Not much energy for alot at the mo, working flat out in office then trying to sort ebay adn this job too
No rest for the wicked!!!
Keeps me on my toes:rotfl:
You definitely don't sound like you have time to be wicked - but I *do* completely understand why you're never on here any more :rotfl:Cheery_Daff wrote: »Gosh Pippi, you are anything BUT lazy! Pah to pesky non-deliveries - I do hope you're going to ask for a refund! Can't believe how much you've had to pay out of your own money. I reckon perhaps rethink the deposit thing - I know you're trying to build a reputation, but you don't want to put yourself in financial difficulties in the meantime! Part of being a successful business person is managing your expenses appropriately - and that means if you're paying for materials for someone else, *they* should be paying for them!
Remember to be good to yourself, not just everyone else!

Cheery has some good points there. And the last bit should be your motto for a while, I reckon, Pippi.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hey up chucks
I feel better now - a full day in the office (well til 4pm)
DD to dr for a jab - all ok there
Did 4.30-7pm at that job - laid out the tree design etc and measured up - only planted (with mulch matts tucked in, stakes and tree guards) 20/65 trees (I timed myself I plant 3 with all the gubbins in 12 mins)
20 done
45 to go - gorgeous views and from her garden I can see mine over the seawhat a privilege to work in a new garden
then went off to a meeting about setting up community gardens here to grow food - very cool - but means I've just got home.
Well at least I've started - and so far to time great progress and after the trees a hedge of 1000 cuttings to put in (when the plastic arrives) but won't think about that atm
Earned some money for a few hours (well 3) (planting plus sorting stuff tree sorting/matts etc)yay - my £4 now gets a 52.50 added to it - woo hoo!!!!!
Got a few more bits organised for ebay listing thank you L for the boot up the !!!!
Ds gave me the money he owed me and £150 for his savings
Fish cooking in the oven - tea soon yum yum
Thank you chaps for keeping me on the straight and narrow.
KC - merci me dear
LT pleasure doing business with you
VL - lol - at least I 'sound' professional
Cold but waiting on water and I'm good!
Took eggs into work today (2 1/2 doz)- with a little jar and left them in the staff room - will see if that works - asked the business manager and they said it was OK - normally I just do 'bespoke eggs' to order - lol
Been away and its hard making sure you keep on top of it all - them pesky chickens keep laying!
I'll rethink the deposit thing - they did offer - I'm just a bit wary of taking money up front.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Got a friend coming round to help me dig rubble out of the garden with a teaspoon on Saturday - I did tell her it was boring, but she insisted0 -

But I shall think of you being here in spirit
Up to anything exciting today? I'm writing a presentation for scary conference on Monday, and writing a little story for a book chapter - very exciting! Might do the latter in the cafe0 -
Morning! Pippi, can I ask, why are you scared of taking that deposit for materials? Are you scared you'd confuse it with your own money or something?2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Pippi - I hope you don't mind me popping on here to drop you a little note. i came to your thread via Karmacat's - I got into reading that, and thought what a magnificent bunch of people you all are - Cheery, Cherisong, EssexHebridean and everyone else - that I began reading all your threads! Anyhoo, the purpose of this post is to ask Pippi if you could use (for your seed business I was thinking) a few 'preloved' (and some new) small 'ziplock topped' plastic bags. I have about 15 (may be able to track down a few more) ranging from 2"x2" through 3"x3" to one slightly bigger one. I was thinking that they would be useful for sending small quantities of fine seed (the real small ones) or small quantities of bean type seeds.
These are offered free, gratis and for nowt. i know you don't 'know' me, but I'd rather they get used than go to landfil, and don't know who else could use them. If they are of no use, please say so, I won't be offended - if you could use them, then pm (?) me to let me know where to send them.
Meanwhile, I have got abit behind with your thread (and Karmacat's), but I hope you're still soldiering on.
