i think what annoys me the most is when we visit it's either ME who has to pick the days, find the trains, find the cheapest ticket, write it all down and send him to the station, or this time..... drive my car to tube station (paying petrol), research tube stations, parking costs, route etc pay my own tube fares after packing the suitcase/overnight bag for us both! can you tell i'm peeved yet?
what do i get when we get there??? why didn't you come at christmas? um because your son wouldn't drive and i refused. why didn't you drive all the way? see answer before, why did you drive to a tube station and not here? see answer before with added that i would just about drive to the tube station. when are you coming for a week? when hell freezes over (oops did i say that?), why don't you visit me all the time/every weekend/ every month? umm because you make me feel as welcome as a dose of .......... and i've got better things to do.
sorry Pippi for poisoning your thread, may yet just delete it all when i've calmed down.0 -

The nutt is back and had a brilliant time
A wee gift was brought home - the snail of happiness - tiny hand carved snail - beautiful, small and thoughtful - I love that she's not a consumer
And of course she brought me home a packet of flower seeds - this girl is good! A nice time had, big roast dinner was required so I was of course happy to oblige.
Back into the fray today at work
Hope you're all good!
Back later and I'll read at lunch.
Marru I hope you find the info you need - if not I'll send you on everything.
I got another blog follower - yippee what a nice thing eh? (I know its just very exciting)Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Morning, its grey and miserable here this morning. Glad DD home and enjoyed herself. What lovely presents too. Enjoy work. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0

Morning all
What a lovely present from DD, the snail of happiness, heart-felt gifts mean so much more don't they. Glad she had a great time in la bella Italia.0 -
Cheery and I had a conversation about it when we were here - I like that you're all out there and I'm not lonely anymore - I suffer terribly from lonlieness - but no more now I've found you all and the blog reader/comments make me feel the same. On a lot of days you guys can be the only folk who I 'talk' too aside the kids or a call from OH.
I really understand this. Since moving away I miss my friends, find it difficult to make new friends here as I dont work in an office and so dont get to meet people regularly. When OH is away I can go for a whole week without speaking to anybody. This place is a lovely place to come.
Hugs to both - I kind of feel the same, and have the same local issues - sort of always have hadPippilongstocking wrote: »The nutt is back and had a brilliant time

love the sound of the snail of happiness. Snails are cute (unless they're chomping their way through my greenhouse!)0

Hugs back KC. It just goes to prove that we are more alike than we all realised when first connecting. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar.
