Cheri that queen song is one of my favouritesYes, it would be one of my desert island discs (which I am listenng to now.Love it) and I have left instructions with everybody that at my cremation I want "I have had the time of my life" at the start and "Who wants to live forever" at the end. Good contrast me thinks, My life would not be complete without music. Whilst I dont have a big cd collection now I am trying to build it back up. I love all kinds of music. I am always searching for new recordings of something. OH loves music but his taste is much more refined than mine. He can be a music snob sometimes. So I listen to rubbish when he is out.
The blog is a bit scary - I don't know how many of my family/friends read it and would be scared to put it on facebook etc (but the link is there) tbh - most folk think I'm more than a little odd - especially my family (what OH's family make of me I've no idea) - in RL - I'm very shy but gobby - its a very wierd combination. I'll think about it though - I'm not sure anyone would really want to read it due to my randomness.
It never ceases to amaze me that I have "connected" with people who are so like me. I am very shy but people dont realise this because I am gobby too also I used to dance on stage, act and enter public speaking competitions so nobody believes that I am terrified in new company and just have no clue how to start a conversation. Mind you once I start I dont shut up :rotfl::rotfl:
Cheery and I had a conversation about it when we were here - I like that you're all out there and I'm not lonely anymore - I suffer terribly from lonlieness - but no more now I've found you all and the blog reader/comments make me feel the same. On a lot of days you guys can be the only folk who I 'talk' too aside the kids or a call from OH.
I really understand this. Since moving away I miss my friends, find it difficult to make new friends here as I dont work in an office and so dont get to meet people regularly. When OH is away I can go for a whole week without speaking to anybody. This place is a lovely place to come.
I know I don't make sense. I love that folk read my diary but I'd be very scared if anyone in my 'other' RL did - iyswim - I like that I can be me here - I'm pretty scared of folk in general. I've made such a mess of my own money/life/family in lots of ways and being here is nice cos no one judges you.
Oh dear, now I just sound very silly.
Not silly at all, I suspect we all feel like that. It is hard to be yourself when other people have such expectations.
I know what I'm meaning - no one else (apart from OH and a few very close chums) gets it all like you guys do :kisses3:Cheery_Daff wrote: »No apology needed VL, I am already Master of Universe (sorry, Art :rotfl: :rotfl:) What will you be PIppi? Pippi (MscMsc)?? Or Pippi (MAMsc)???!

I jack of all things and master of none. I admire that you have both put so much effort in and have to admit that DR or MSc means the same to me. Hard worker, intelligent person.
Well, my cleaning hasnt started. Been for my adventure. Came back and the smell of my bean casserole in the slow cooker made me hungry so I am in the middle of making home made crumpets for lunch. Might post a picture if they turn out ok.

marru - hope the bread was nice, my DD gets excited when we have home-baked bread too!
Greenval - loving the sound of those wellies!!
Everyone - it's a lovely Sunday evening, we're back home from a weekend with family, the roads weren't too bad coming home, and DD will soon be going to bed.......and that means MrA can pop over, woo hoo!!0 -
hello everyone, back from outlaw visit and have again come back with a sore throat and cold, this sucks i think i must be allergic to the big smoke.
i have to admit to not liking raspberries, the one's i've had don't seem to be that sweet. I'm not a big fan of strawberries either, think i overdid it one year, and the next year they gave me ulcers. Once in a blue moon i fancy them though.0 -
Maybe you're allergic to the in-laws! Now you're back home you might fight the lergy off *fingers crossed*Weight loss: Start weight: 80kg; Current Weight: 77kg; Target weight: 55kg0

I think the only problem with strawberries is that cos they are available all year round now - mostly they taste of nothing (unless they are actually IN season) so I think strawbs get a bit of bad press and rightly so if they taste of nowt. Then again if we only ate them in the summer when they ARE in season I bet we'd all really look forward to them. I don't tend to buy them outwith june/july/aug - and I always look for british and the variety 'Elsanta' if buying.
At home I've got elsanta and I think the cambridge ones - which are delish.
I've clearly got soft fruit on the brain eh?
Or soft fruit for a brain.
We do Pippi, and, well, we do!!We pick rasps from the PYO place in the summer and freeze then for use later - I've still got one box left in there I noticed earlier. :j
I meant to say - I love Queen, my favourite thing to do is to play the theme track from Highlander at full blast when driving around the Highlands, so whenever I listen to Queen it just makes me happy. I especially love Who wants to live forever. A big track for a big place.
Nah...best track from the Highlander soundtrack HAS to be Princes of the Universe!Massive Queen fan here, in fact that was my shuffle of choice on the iPod last night driving back from Ipswich.

I don't have any issue with any of you guys because we've so much in common generally. And, I've taken so much confidence from all of your kindness.

Oh EH I love that track too. Who wants to live forever is my all time favourite but I love the whole album, and the film. I think that the film is so good because of the music.
LT, maybe you ARE allergic to the inlaws!

i know i am! and OH has just 'floated' the idea of going for a week in summer!!!!!!!!! i bet his mother was at him whilst he was downstairs and i was lurking/hiding upstairs this morning0

Oh Mr Cs Dad is "at him" all of the time to do this and do that when I am not around. He does it for a quieter life but not this Christmas, last he suddenly realised that it doesnt lead to a quieter life when I have had enough! Most of the time I keep quiet because I know what its like to not have my parents anymore and his are both getting on and his mother has alzheimers. But just occasionally I blow. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar.
