  • KK my kids are very good with cleaning equipment too!! Tooth will be expensive but I'm glad its savable and I've a few months to save. (what I mean is eat out of the cupboards and freezers and try to save some money)

Cheri that queen song is one of my favourites :)

The blog is a bit scary - I don't know how many of my family/friends read it and would be scared to put it on facebook etc (but the link is there) tbh - most folk think I'm more than a little odd - especially my family (what OH's family make of me I've no idea) - in RL - I'm very shy but gobby - its a very wierd combination. I'll think about it though - I'm not sure anyone would really want to read it due to my randomness.

I don't have any issue with any of you guys because we've so much in common generally. And, I've taken so much confidence from all of your kindness.

Cheery and I had a conversation about it when we were here - I like that you're all out there and I'm not lonely anymore - I suffer terribly from lonlieness - but no more now I've found you all and the blog reader/comments make me feel the same. On a lot of days you guys can be the only folk who I 'talk' too aside the kids or a call from OH.

I know I don't make sense. I love that folk read my diary but I'd be very scared if anyone in my 'other' RL did - iyswim - I like that I can be me here - I'm pretty scared of folk in general. I've made such a mess of my own money/life/family in lots of ways and being here is nice cos no one judges you.

Oh dear, now I just sound very silly.

I know what I'm meaning - no one else (apart from OH and a few very close chums) gets it all like you guys do :kisses3:

Ooo Pippi, I love cleaning to music.
I don't put music on nearly enough, at *any* time.... it would be nice!

By the way, twitter can be addictive but a good way to use it would be simply to tweet your post from your blog. I now share my posts via facebook and twitter. If you look at the bottom of the post on the public view you can click on either and it goes straight to facebook and/or twitter feed. Good way to promote it. You dont have to tweet much more (although it can be addictive) so why not start it up just to start promoting your blog for when you are ready to start earning from it.
Ooh. Food for thought (or anyway, food for notes for the future) in there, thanks cheri!
KC I did a bit with the sedge yesterday (well picked it up and looked at it and put it into a fish box) my word you've got a heavy clay soil, I nearly broke my arm picking it up!!! How hard is it to dig your patch?
I haven't done any digging yet :o but it *seems* really easy, tbh, compared to the chalky soil I did have, full of stones and only 4" thick before you hit the subsoil. This soil is more than a foot deep in places, should be very fertile.

KC/cheri - I love rasps but a history of berry picking as a young teenager means I'd never thought to eat them again, in the area where my family are from alot of soft fruit is grown and you normally at some point in your life go to the 'berries' to earn some money. After a day of gorging - you're sick of them for hte rest of your life!!! But now I can eat them in moderation. I'm mostly growing them cos OH/Ds love them in HM pavlova - and for jam - but mainly for pavlova they love it and its so easy to make that we quite often have it.
    That makes sense.

I think the only problem with strawberries is that cos they are available all year round now - mostly they taste of nothing (unless they are actually IN season) so I think strawbs get a bit of bad press and rightly so if they taste of nowt. Then again if we only ate them in the summer when they ARE in season I bet we'd all really look forward to them. I don't tend to buy them outwith june/july/aug - and I always look for british and the variety 'Elsanta' if buying.
Very true - fresh wild strawberries you've picked yourself are wonderful. I've got some strawberry plants, and I'll certainly be planting them out.
At home I've got elsanta and I think the cambridge ones - which are delish.

I've clearly got soft fruit on the brain eh?

Or soft fruit for a brain.

And a very lovely brain it is too :D:D:D Hope you have a nice day with OH, and I'm glad the tooth isn't hurting right now.

15 mins of cleaning at a time cheri I say! With the music on, and then sit down and have a treat :D I'm afraid I usually go with the Flylady podcast thing from her website - Very sad! :o :rotfl: But I stick it on my MP3 player, and have an hour of her saying 'now we're going to hoover for ten minutes, let's get those floors clean, just the middles ladies!' :rotfl: An hour goes by in no time at all, the whole house looks better, and I don't have to motivate myself (and I like being told what to do :rotfl: :rotfl:)

Pippi - ouch to poorly tooth :( but good that they'll try to save it for you :T Sounds like you're being hugely productive! :T :T

writing writing writing here today - being like a cheerful robot (Mr DAffs keeps telling me to be like a robot and not agonise over how much there is left, how rubbish I am, and just put one finger in front of the other until it's done :D Keeps threatening to bring me a drink of oil and a snack of nuts and bolts (obviously that's what robots eat) :rotfl: :rotfl:) :D

Aw pippi, glad we can help you not be lonely :j :j My family all reads my blog, and I must admit to being more careful about what I share on there than on here sometimes - not really sure in what way though, don't want to tell them every time I'm feeling sorry for myself! :rotfl: But can tell you lovely lot :D And I too like having you hanging round in the background while I'm trying to do something difficult :D

So hooray for the internet! :D:D

(but now I have to turn it off for a bit, but I'll be thinking of you all pottering and stopping around kitchen tables for a chat :D)

Pippi - Master of Science/Art/other sounds better than Doctor anyway IMO (sorry Cheery!!) :D . Also very glad to hear about the tooth saving :T

Cheri - if your music collection is small try You Tube for the odd song for cleaning purposes (although it can distract you for a looong time!)

    Hi All
Like Pippi I feel as though we all have a lot in common and 'get' each other , even if sometimes those around us don't. :) Even though I am something of a loner I am still glad that you are out there, especially if I am stuck in the house for whatever reason.
Pippi I'd love the rasberry as a friend for the lonely tayberry, that's very kind.:T
On a subject that you will all understand but others might find a bit strange, I've been given a pair of calf height, green, fleece lined wellies by my Aunty who bought them then couldn't get her feet in.
    How good is this:-
    Wellies
    Free
    Fleece lined:j
I hope everyone has a good day and a rewarding one in whatever you are aiming to do.

I am a lurker her but raspberries just always brings me a memory when I as a little girl went to pick up raspberries with my grea aunt (where I lived they grew plentifully wild :)). So when I had my platic jug full my great aunt told me to put it into her bucket in case I fall over so that they don't get spilled. And of course it was she who caught her foot on a tree root and fell over spilling hers and mine raspberries. She was so embarrased and made sure that she gave me from her raspberries enough to have a full jug. She made amazing HM joghurt and with fresh raspberries it was heaven. Sadly I never managed to get that recipe from her. I tried to ask but should written it down as at the time it didn't make any sense to me. (Or she was being vague.)

I have bread baking in the BM and DD is driving me crazy asking when is it ready as she wants some. Need to take her to the playground for distraction and when we are back we can tuck into freshly made bread. Small pleasures :T
