Having said that, i've been round The Old Ram inn in Worcester, one of the mosts 'haunted' places in Britain byall accounts. And yeah, it was pretty damn creepy, but that doesn't equal restless spririts.

The only thing creepy about the Ram is the Old Spot. Two and yous had it

I hear the Old Ram Inn is full of spirits, but the prices the way they are for just a single shot nowadays is enough to freak anyone out :D:D

Lol, that reminds me of a time one of these "psychic" Gypsies approached me and my Sister, proclaiming we will have an everlasting marriage together with 2 wonderful children that we will be proud of.

I'm sure that you'll be very proud of their webbed feet and scarily large foreheads!

The odd thing is, both the CIA and KGB poured millions into psychic research. Neither organisation are what you might call soft.

Sorry but I disagree, whenever someone has gone to a psychic for a reading or whatever, so long as they are happy with the advice given, there is no law ANYWHERE that specifically states that the psychic shows them any kind of evidence other than the information they have provided to the customer.

Yes I would take what was said with the tiniest pinch of salt, and certainly would not wish to pay for a service like this, but others are perfectly entitled to do so, whether or not You, I or anybody else believe what is said.

If the customer leaves satisfied, and they feel it was money well spent, thats all the proof they need. If they feel they have been ripped off or misled, as the majority of us outsiders would feel. No court in the land will demand they are refunded, whether or not either of them can back up their claims.

It would in that case, not be upto the psychic to prove their claims to be valid, it would be upto the customer to prove they were not. Neither case would hold strong in a court as proof in the paranormal will always remain questionable, just as it would in religion, a customer either believes them or they don't, but that's as far as it could go.

    Extraordinary claims require exdrondary evidence.

    You missed my point.

If someone makes a claim about X,Y or then its entirely down to that person to prove there right useing solid public verifiable evidence. You cant just say yoy can't prove there worng therefore they might be right.
  • As others have said it really is a load of tosh, and some of the so called psychics/mediums practices are as bad as conning old ladies at the doorstep.

IMO they prey on the vulnerable and week.

Agreed, but you cannot call those who feel comforted from such beliefs as being thick or stupid. This would be no different to calling a Muslim thick for not being a Christian or vice versa. Even though there is no verifiable evidence to prove one over the other, this is regardless of our atheistic views of finality, of which we ALSO cannot verify as fact.
