I think Dave101t was just trying to be controversial and doesn't know what it's like to be a woman who's found herself pregnant and scared, he (if it is a he) seems to think that if you were 12 you would be right to be concerned but at the grand old age of 21 you should find it a breeze.
It's scary whether you're 12, 21, 35 or 48 depending on what else is going on your life!

Well most of you have been wonderful! I'm looking forward to this. Will be a long hard slog for a wholes but at the end of the day it will be worth it. I'll be one of those who fall instantly in love with their sprog. When my little sister was born I couldn't put her down I was besotted!

To the person above who told me to grow up?!?! On what basis are you insulting me?

Why have people been wonderful, because they have told you what you want to hear. Well, I stand by what I say and I bet I will never find out, because you will probably not be able to afford internet access in the future. Seriously, please think about this. I don't know you but I have your best wishes at heart. x

Remind me to put a yellow post it note up saying don't come into this bit of MSE again.

You are all telling her how brave she is, and how wonderful it is that she could tell her Mother.

    .

I think it probably would be a very good idea if you didn't comment on this again.

She is brave in telling her mother and facing up to the future and the challenges it will bring. As many of us have said she has made her decision and constantly underming her isn't helping.

MrsCrafty Abby has made her decision, whether you like it or not. That is why your comments are not appropriate, when she started the thread she asked for advice and it was given. She is no longer asking for advice, she is merely updating the people who have commented.

I think if you read back you'll find that a) I was undecided as to what to do and b) there was a even split of other peoples experiences. I made the decision by myself and all I asked was to hear other peoples opinions. What I didn't ask is for someone to tell me I should basically abort a life and that I was wrong not doing that. It didn't cause offence, end of the day your just another person sat at a computer. But I bet you wouldn't turn round to someone in real life and repeat that without possibly being in danger of being slapped

My mother lives in Cumbria, I live in Leeds so she has no reason to get fed up. End of the day she is a very practical woman who is also very loving. I know she will be there for me, she's at the end of the phone when ever I need to know how to do something. As for my dad, well he will never cease to be exasperated with me

As for money? I'll actually be in a better position having a child at university than i would out of university. And yes I took this into consideration and no irony feel bad for it

Try the pregnancy thread Abby ... My second pregnancy was very painful in the first trimester (more painful than my third pregnancy which miscarried) but everyone's different. Check the symptoms for ectopic pregnancy just in case, and see the doctor if you are concerned.

I shall do! I had assumed that because it wasn't painful it wasn't ectopic, just ache ache ache and a bit of ache
