I don't believe we've come across each other on the forum before, as I don't use the ones you do and vice versa... anyway, I have just sat and read this thread, and couldn't leave without posting my best wishes for you...
You sound like a very strong lady and I admire how bravely you've tackled this situation, I was scared just reading it so can't imagine how terrified you must have been. And when I read that this man was abusing your dog, I felt physically sick.
Good luck for later today, am sure it will go smoothly, and if not it's good to hear you have people on hand to help. I'll be checking in for an update - take care of yourself xxx
The fact that the Police are helping me is making me feel very very safe and not vulnerable as I was, I have the highest respect for them and without the encouragement and support from this forum I dont know where I would be now:A well I do but I aint dwelling on that. The look on my dogs face when I go home is priceless. My son was so proud of me last night, he thinks I am supermum:o to have tackled the lodger.
Tonight is going to be difficult but I know I can do this and should be an end to this - people I work with have noticed a change in me too:o I told a few what had happened and I have understanding and support at work, I was too embarrassed to talk to anyone about this at work.
If this bad experience of mine helps anyone else in this situation then I am happy to help:)

It's so empowering to face problems and demons head on and deal with them, you have inspired me!0

Also, please keep a log/diary. I would suggest an e-diary that you regularly email to someone that is close to you. This will ensure that somebody else will have easy access. This is important for sanity checking + evidence if required.
Please let us know the outcome.
See you are ALL helping me - :TBSC member 328:TB/R Nov 08 - Nov 09:TLife is a lemon and I want my money back! (Meatloaf)

I cannot believe the difference a few days has made, how much happier you sound and there are really positive vibes coming from your posts. I can tell you are smiling when you post. Does that sounds weird - I guess I have spend too much time on here recently.
I don't wish to sound patronising vyt Well done, you do need to feel very proud of yourself for standing up to this man, you might not think you have done it alone but it took the strength to make the first move. And I am pleased you have spoken to some people at work, that also taks a geat deal of courage, to admit these things to people you are around every day, especially when they see you as a strong person. Sometimes it is hard to admit our weaknesses to people. I am really, really happy for you, your son and your dog
Have a wonderufl weekend, when you'll finally be able to relax and be yourself again.
PS. At this very moment my 12 wk old puppy is asleep on the floor and she is wagging her tail in her sleep, LOL. I always wonder what they must be dreaming about.0 -
Thanks Blue_Monkey
Well I am not really smiling yet, but my inner strength and fight has come back- just a tad angry to find myself in that position again - grrrrrrr!!! AND very very safe with the Police protection
Well instead of a few years it was only a couple of months eh? I do feel positive again and the negativity has been removed from my household! What a plonker I feel, but something snapped and I kept re-reading all the replies on here, sat alone, scared at night....and just by chance I had to go home early on Wed to pick my comp lead up (cos my head was mushed!) and lodger was in, I thought right, you are not going to be victim AGAIN and then it went from there!!! I went back to work in a daze. It all happened so quickly, thank goodness.
I have just got tonight to get through and then my plan is a lovely 12 HOUR SLEEP!!! I am knackered!!

No need to feel like a plonker, it is exactly one week since you posted originally and it will all be resolved by this evening.
You knew yourself what needed to be done, you just needed some moral support and a little nudge to push you in the right direction.
Any one of us could be in this situation and especially when you are a kind hearted person it can feel more difficult to be tough.
It's such a relief when a big worry is lifted from the shoulders, and after a good long restorative sleep you will feel like a new person!0 -
Good luck Sugar, and chin up.0

We'll all be thinking of you at 8pm tonight! All the best0

(made me giggle a bit! - karma and all that)
I asked could you wait until 20:00pm when the Police arrive and I will allow you access to collect your stuff. A very sheepish reply was yes sure. I said thank you and shut my door. Police arrived at 20:00pm and requested I moved my dog out of the way!!
I had a quick chat with the Police Officers and then they allowed lodger and man in. It took them 33 minutes to get everything out, and the Police asked him to sign paperwork to say he had received all his belongings in good condition and does not require any more access - Also I handed my signed paperwork to lodger to say everything was securely packed and no damage had occurred and photographic evidence had been taken;)
The Officers stayed with me all the time - I couldn't thank them enough , thats the safest I have felt in along time.
So all in all it was over and done within 45 minutes, thank goodness.:j:j:j:j
So heres to you guys/gals in here :beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:
