but you said hed had some of your post in his room, just be aware that he has had access to your private mail, bank statements, he has your addy presumably dob etc, you can see where this could lead. Hope obviously it doesnt but might be better to double check your affairs and accounts etc as he was in debt.
Oh yes already on the case, checked all this out and Police are aware :D but thank you - going to change all my personal stuff, banks, etc etc

  • First thing I did this morning was check here :)

Wow, that is great. Hopefully he knows the dog means business as well so that is fantastic, should put him off trying to get in. Remeber it was YOU that did this but it was us that gave you the confidence to see it through. You just needed another few people to help you make the RIGHT decision. Oh yes I really cant thank everyone enough - these forums are a life saver for us recluses:D that live alone!!! If I could afford it I would buy each and everyone of you a bottle of wine!!

But it is done and he is finally gone - can you believe it? I can believe it but this has been a hell of a week, feels longer tbh!
Did he put up any fight while the police where there? absolutley not, very meek and mild - the Police Officers were stood either side of me, and when lodger came towards me they stood in front of me - I have never ever felt so protected and safe like that. The Officers deal with this situation a lot, and were impressed at my paperwork ready to be signed and they offered to give lodger to sign, saving any communication whatsoever. When lodger went they advised locking myself in and were sympathetic towards me. They are now aware that I live alone. They were impressed with my dog too!!! :D
What a week it has been for you. Well done for being so brave and doing the right thing and seeing it through. He obviously did have somewhere to go and you showed him that you mean business.
Looking at the amount of views I have had this sort of thing must go on all the time and I hope this thread encourages others that are EVER in this situation, please, please don't even put up with it for a day!!! I waited and pondered....If you are in this position -DO IT NOW!

And now it is time to move on with your life. And maybe send a small hamper of biscuits or treats to the local police station to say thanks - something they can all share but by way of appreciation and your way of thanking them for the help they have given you.
    I fully intend to.:)
How are you feeling this morning?I feel ok, at peace really, I had a fantastic nights sleep last night:) I am just niggled that I have to sort my finances out because of being ripped off, not nice at this time of year for me, but Karma will bite back! I am strong enough now to deal with minor irritations.

What more can I say, I really hope my bad experience does indeed help others in this situation.
Glad I got him to sign Lodger Agreement ;) and covered my backside legally too in all of this- ooohhh knowledge is power:T

  • Hiya all - hmmm back again with a puzzling one or scary one????
So your input would be appreciated please.:)
I came home from work tonight at 6.20pm, and once I said tata to my son (who picked me up from work) I shut my front door, to find some dogmeat papers at the back of my front door. Got to say this puzzled me a bit and then when I went upstairs I noticed my dog had been sick twice on the stairs???? Very very strange I thought, phoned my son who said to phone the Police as he is worried for my safety??? Now I do not understand whats going on here??
I have a large post cage at the back of my front door, to stop my post getting ripped and mainly to protect the posties hands!!
I dont want to phone the Police with this-its just bizzare!!
I checked with a neighbour who verified that my dog hasnt barked at all today and she has not heard anything, but my son is convinced that someone (well poss the ex lodger is trying to poison my dog!!)
But the more I think about it the more it is worrying me, my dog seems fine, but how and why did this dogfood end up through my letterbox? Do you think this very ill man is trying to frighten me more?? Should I phone the Police?? I do not feel scared just puzzled thats why I am asking for any input/thoughts to this.
    Thanks
    Sugar x

    Hi sugarbabe,

I've been lurking on the thread.

I think in your situation, being as it's so close to the recent happenings, I would just phone and let the police have it on record.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.
