i would wait and see if it happens again. Can you put something inside the cage to stop your dog getting at anything which may be posted into it - maybe a cardboard box ?

Hi Sugar - the cardboard box is a good idea to keep your dog safe, but maybe you could get a cheap video security camera to ensure you know who comes and goes to and from your house?
  • Get in on record with the police and take their advice on it.

Have you got the number of any of the officers who were present on Friday?
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

Yes good idea, I think I will line it with cardboard - good thought. Thank you :T
I think if its the exlodger, he maybe trying to scare/harrass me. Not working though, wont allow it to - I will phone my local Police Officer tomorrow who I have been in contact with, who knows about all this, just to to have it on record-good call. Thanks as usual :)

Good idea, perhaps the police can give you one temporarily.

    Have your locks been changed?
The dog food wouldn't be able to get through the caged letterbox.
Does your dog have a little door (like a cat flap)?
Can things be thrown into your back garden?
I would def let the police know and maybe get a vet to test your dog to make sure it hasn't been poisoned (don't want to scare or upset you).

Joe - it's not that hard to get stuff past most letterbox cages - lots have a flap at the top to a) let you get the post out and b) to allow for larger, stiffer, things to be posted without them being left sticking out of the letterbox.

Sugarbabe - definitely get it on record with the Police just in case, God forbid, anything else gets posted through.

No - get this incident logged with the police........
