  • Keith Floyd, without a doubt. Fab cook, great drinker and very funny (and quite dishy too...even now  )

I love it when he gets out a primus stove and a chopping board in the middle of the outback/rural France and cooks up a storm. What a star!

I quite like Nancy Lam, too - she's a real character.
  • The Hairy Bikers - soooo funny and enthusiastic (I think a Northern sense of humour helps!!)
Their recipes are a bit OTT mind you - but they have such fun doing it!

There are loads of great cooks out there - Rather than chefs.

Marguerite Patten - good for everything she does.
Delia Smith - good for basics but the moment there's more than 2 ingredients in the title of a recipe or she gets hold of a cranberry or truffle oil, forget it!
Mary Berry - often thought of her as a cut price Marguerite.
Ainsley - Personal Enthusiasm but not much memorable food.
James Martin - Very nice! scheming_gypsy give him my number! And good enthusiasm for food but a better programme contributor than presenter.
Gary Rhodes - I can't watch. Mainly because of his pronunciation of the letter 'T' over the food! But he knows his stuff.
Anthony(?) W-T another one I couldn't watch first thing in the morning. Just so lascivious over the food.
Jamie Oliver – What can I say, he’s brought the 20 somethings and under onside and that’s got to be good.

Fanny Craddock - As I said earlier - what not to do in the kitchen. What food needs is love, not venom!;)

I could make it better myself at home. All I need is a small aubergine...

I moved to Liverpool for a better life.
And goodness, it's turned out to be better and busier!

And I am rarely in a state of perpetual protest! :D

    :A

Lol, so more of a David Walliams than a Matt Lucas:).

Possibly but I don't look like I've had a lemon shoved up my bottom!:D

Good culinary advice there. Don't want to look like David Walliams then don't insert the lemon.

Apologies - I should be ashamed. Sorry if this is getting a bit off topic. Anyone not amused PM me and I'll shut up.
