IIRC it may be something to do with the way the forum is set up when you join. It is set up to show the oldest threads first, and in threads the oldest post first. This is so you can begin reading from the beginning.
Many people change it to show the newest threads/posts first, but if you don't, you see older threads at the top of the list.
This also explains why when some people write things like "As I said above", what they are referring to is actually "below" in your list.0 -
My son-in-law Simon, who is a devotee of Gordon Ramsey. He started off just trying to help my DD as she has a tribe of 5 children but now does almost 50% of their cooking. He is really good as he has infinite amounts of patience and will make the most mouthwatering meals His leg of lamb with rosemary and honey and cider is to die for.0

Other - please say belowI remain a devotee of the late Linda mcCartney. At least I don't have to adapt the recipes to be suitable for veggies. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Other - please say belowMadhur Jaffrey, I love her recipes & our Christmas dinner was picked & chosen from my collection of her books
Pat Chapman for take away-style curries using his base sauce
Ken Hom
Delia, for that never-fail basic cookery book (can't stand watching her though)
Claudia Roden
Nigel Slater, don't think I can add to the superlatives already posted
I'm in the huff with Hugh F-W, I strayed from my trusty Delia recipe, tried out his profiteroles & ended up having to bin the result
as well as Delia I can't bear to watch Jamie, AW-T or Nigella ... & as for Ainsley!0
