You seem to be under the impression that if you have to go out of your way to boycott things then "don't bother". You seem to have no principles so you expect noone else to have any either.

If you are going to boycott something you would never have purchased anyway - thats when you have to ask "what is the point?".

The original poster on the other hand is asking for lists of stuff to help her. All you can do is make stupid suggestions about childrens tv shows..

That TV show, I'll have you know, puts forward some very sound Marxist ideas. You shouldn't have called it stupid. I am disappointed.

Any chance we can revert to the interesting whale music... sorry, topic?

    Vote Prawntopia!

    You noticed, Ken.

Personally, I take comfort from the illustration of the standard of the other side's 'argument'.

you still haven't quite explained how attacking, for instance, an Icelandic nurse who does not support whale hunting by boycotting Icelandic products, leading to an inevitable fall in tax revenue and consequent reduction in health funding, helps the cancer patient she's treating.

i'm sure an explanation is just round the corner. be quick, the patient is not looking too well.

Only a select few are entitled to presume what principles I may or may not have. You are not one of them.

I will simply refer to a previous post replying to LizEstelle making perfectly good suggestions, and reiterating suggestions made by others.

Taking one's own advice can often save others from a lot of hard work! lol

And YOU haven't explained why your argument wouldn't apply to any other iniquitous situation where you would not lift a finger simply because someone might lose their job.

Your argument amounts to a let-it-rip support for any villain, so long as said villain is either in employment or employs someone.

Sorry, I'm not buying your logic. If we listened to people like you we'd still be having slavery and employing witch-finders.

I can and will presume anything I like.

Do you see - I just did presume. Telling me I can't is like telling a cat it can't meow. Your words are nothing more than air - and look, they've just blown away never to be seen again..

    oh wel..

Maybe you should go back to watching the cartoons..

The only thing student unions have been any good for in over ten years is 10% reduction at hmv or some other scab shop.

I dunno about that, Manchester's student union seems to be involved in some pretty important things, afterall it's now run by Islamists and members of Respect!

    End Sarcasm! ;)

OK, personally I didn't think it was that hard. I will, though, for the hard of thinking, say it again. I will also type it in capitals just to help.

IF SOMEBODY DOES SOMETHING WRONG, DO WHATEVER YOU HAVE TO AGAINST THEM. DO NOT DO IT AGAINST SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT NECESSARILY SUPPORT THEM AND HAS NOT ACTUALLY DONE ANYTHING WRONG.

The law in this criminal law in this country uses a similar principle. What happens is that it attempts to catch up and convict THE PERSON THAT COMMITTED THE CRIME and not, for instance, the person that was sitting in the bus stop opposite.

    Prawns are people too.

Well, since the Icelandic, Japanese and Norwegian Governments have all sanctioned this slaughter, I assume I have, according to your logic, every right to take my own action against the populations of those countries.

Er, should I have put that in upper case, you know, specifically for the benefit of the hard of thinking..?

That's a bit patronising. Da Vinci was a cartoonist. Not good enough for you?

    Prawns for peace.
