You can't get 15 points for needing alcohol before midday. You don't get points for being intoxicated at all. Even at tribunal, a person who is an alcoholic can be (and in my presence, was) told that if they got a job and didn't drink, they would be happy and wouldn't need to drink ever again. (the actual reason they were unable to work is that they had broken their back falling off a roof whilst working, so they weren't even claiming for alcoholism - it became a problem for them in trying to deal with the nerve pains after the accident when medication didn't work). Whilst we are at it, a alcoholic cannot get a blue badge or a freedom pass on the grounds of being addicted to alcohol either. They can, however, get these things if there are other medical issues that entitle them, but that wouldn't feed people's prejudices in quite such a satisfying manner, though.
It would be of more use to concentrate on how to deal with your own claims and appeals rather than pointing fingers at these mythical creatures that the Daily Venom would have you believe are all around us. All it does is legitimise the witchhunt against other people with mobility and care needs.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

Im on lots of expensive meds, my disabilities warrent them and my pain management specialist just tells my GP to perscribe them and its done.
I had hand surgery earlier this year but for that condition (Durbytrons sp contracture) it isnt a fix, mine is back and repeated surgery isnt recomended because I have RA in my hands.0 -

I recognise alcohol related illness is a terrible thing and help is needed but hey my neighbour is 35 never worked a day in his life, changes his car every year has the biggest tv in the estate. Drives to the shop 300 yards away. Has all the latest sll under the guise of needing alcohol even gets extra money for it, yet he sails through his Medicals even finds time to clean windows and landscape as well . It's chancers like him that make me angry not genuine people who try to help themselves

So contact the DVLA, as he certainly isn't able to legally hold a driving licence whilst an uncontrolled alcoholic. Which means he is driving uninsured as well.
Or is this all conjecture as he has told you nothing - or is he actually a career criminal who keeps you all fooled about his income by letting you think it comes from the state?
Or could he possibly have told you he has one thing when he doesn't want you to actually know about the medical/psychological care and mobility needs that he does have, as after all, alcohol abuse is so much more acceptable than serious mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder and the like?
So you tell me you have sero negative arthritis. I could choose to call you a liar, as I have sero positive Rheumatoid arthritis. Anyone can say they have pins and needles and pain in their hand. Fibro is notoriously hard to prove - how do I know you aren't lying about that? What of the consequences of using Tramadol? You're probably addicted/dependent upon it by now. I could say you're just wasted if you are less than fully compos mentis when you're taking it. Perhaps you've claimed the pain is there to get free opiates.
I don't know, as I am not you. So I don't have the right to assume you are a fake because all I could see is you complaining your back hurts or you have a pain in your forearm, or that you have woken up feeling like you haven't slept for days and you hurt like you have permanent flu.
Why judge someone else if you don't enjoy being judged yourself?I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

Alcohol before midday could get you 2 points on incap, but its not considered under ESA anymore.
2 points would not entitle you to the benefit though, you would need many other problems that passed many other descriptors before being eligible.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.
[/greenhighlight][redtitle]
The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -
Sorry to disappoint you Jo Jo far from wasted I have had an education. I have a law degree and a business management degree I am wise enough to know a total waster when I see one. I do not fake symptoms why would I!!! So let's pity the alcoholics shall we , self inflicted illnesses should be excluded from any benefit the money should ge given to people who developed illness beyond their control and hey one cure for an alco stop taking it!!! Why should my tax be used to fund their weakness.
It's so easy to say you an alco just to get money!! Their are drying out units in hospitals for that purpose. It takes. Stronger person to walk away And say no.0 -

People with alcohol addictions are generally mentally ill. I don't know anyone who has just decided to self-harm. I hope one day you get depression and see how hard it is to control urges to self-harm.
You contradict yourself here - you say that "the money should be given to those who develop illness beyond their control" - mental illness is beyond someones' control.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
