Better perhaps to eliminate the cause of those stories.Perhaps you should stop listening to stories and find out for yourself?"Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0 -

You are suggesting eliminating claimants? :rotfl:Gone ... or have I?0 -

The same people that pay the rest of the judiciary - are you suggesting that they are all corrupt? Talking nonsense again WhiteHorse?Gone ... or have I?0 -
No doubt the government is working on the idea as we speak. What was that recent article on voluntary euthanasia ... ?You are suggesting eliminating claimants?"Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0 -
The government then. So much for independence. The same people that pay the rest of the judiciary ...
Now what would happen if they returned too many decisions of which the government did not approve?... are you suggesting that they are all corrupt?
Ah, didn't take you long to descend to abuse.Talking nonsense again WhiteHorse?"Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0 -
Perhaps you should stop listening to stories and find out for yourself? Fibro is a variable condition, plenty of sufferers do qualify for ESA, but plenty of sufferers are also capable of work.
I have seen a fair few of your posts and you seem to be very knowledgeable. However, a lot of your posts come across as extremely judgemental. I wonder if this could be tempered with a little humanity?
It may just be your posting style that makes it come across like this, and if it is, I apologise.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break

I agree. I found the response a little harsh.
I've had enough experience of how people are treated when trying to get help. I scrape by and manage with a supportive family instead. It's hard enough living with this, without being put through hell just to have a little extra help. Stress makes me sicker, I'd rather not put myself through appeals and misery especially when the system is undergoing all the changes and even if I get ESA they'd probably stop it again and I'd do it all over again.
Maybe when the process has settled down and I feel that I'm going to be seen by someone to be assessed who doesn't tick boxes without knowing about my conditions.0 -
Yes I agree the panels are independant only to a certain extent. They work within the guidelines issued to them by the Government and draw their wages from them as well . I have never been on benefit in all of my 46 years I have always worked I do not get any benefit and qualified for IB when I was medically retired from my job . Incidently I had an excellent record and my file was sent to over 8 Department to try and get a post away from computers there was nothing. The capability assessment was shambolic and when the report came back I thought it was someone elses. Went to appeal I had 4 MRI scans. reports from 5 orthopaedic consultants and my GP all in support of me and just for good measure I saw a Harley St doctor and he gave me a 14 page report , appeal disallowed what more can I do . I have requested a statement of reasons and applied for ESA and this time I will take the forms to CAB . I welcome any advice in this ?

I'm a fibro sufferer too, I haven't even attempted to claim though, too many horror stories of how they treat us.
Not many people post when they've had a positive award. There are a few on this site who are in the support group and had no problems. Ditto a few other forums I post on.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
