I got the increase in prices letter too
So what should be the course of action for us on this tariff now. More details in my post: forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=44433944&postcount=4330 -
I have just come off phone with EDF (if you try to call they are very congested and lines now close from 6pm as they change billing systems). They said if I move off EDF I will be charged an exit penalty with this tariff, but if I stay with them I can change tariff with no penalty for leaving this tariff.
Apparently we all have one month to change if we wish, so what if we all changed to a tariff with no exit penalty then sitched supplier? Can anyone see a flaw in this?0 -

I can only repeat that there is no exit fee to pay for switching directly from this tariff to another supplier.
I have it in writing from both the Legal Department and the Customer Service Department.
Typically, EDF's lines of communication are incomplete. They can't advise on here generally as they have not chosen to put up a Rep.
Although from time to time a hidden presence will contact individuals if you are very lucky.:rotfl:0 -
Just hit the 70min mark on hold, for a call that lasted less than a minute.0

I switched to Fixed S@ver v2 last week, after ~30min waiting on the phone.
Everything seemed ok and I even noticed my online account changing to Fixed Saver too.... But a few days later, when I looked online, it reverted to Online S@ver v7!
After another 30min wait on the phone, I've been told I am on the fixed tariff but it's a glitch from their IT systems! I've been promised I'll get a cal back within the hour, and of course... nothing! And my account still says Online saver 7....
I've send them an email, but not really sure it will help!
Don't think I can face another half an hour on the phone....0 -

Exact same thing has happened to me - changed to fixed 2014 on 17th June (this was showing up in my online account). Logged on today and it is back to online saver 7 - another e-mail sent their way!
Have been getting an e-mail response in around 3 weeks.0 -

I switched from Online Saver 7 to a fixed deal online yesterday. They sent me a message altering my monthly DD amount but have had no confirmation of the switch and my account is still showing Online Saver 7.
I think I will send them a message ...... I don't fancy waiting an hour on the phone!0 -
