This debt must go

My pay slip has arrived and I had £500 back pay. Unfortunately it did mean extra tax, NI and student loan payment. So I'll only actually come away with £300 extra in my pay packet. Still it's better than nothing and it'll boost the debt busting figures. I'm still hoping to make an extra payment before the end of the month.
I'm starting to realise that being debt free by the end of the year is looking increasingly unlikely. If I do make another payment this month I'm hoping it'll take me below £6k which is good, but clearing that amount in 3 months is a very big ask.
I've got another agency shift tomorrow at a new place so I'm looking forward to that. It's a 12hour shift though so it'll be quite tiring. The lady at the agency thinks there's 6 week's work here though so that should also help with the debt busting.

Thanks RT. Yes I definately need to look at it this way. I was just so adamant that I wasn't going to carry any debt over into another year and it looks like I'll have to
Anyway I paid £200 off the loan on Tuesday and that brings me under £6k owing :j
I'm pretty pleased with that :TGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

I managed a shift a week at the agency. I actually had 2 shifts this week but one was yesterday so technically that classes as October.
Decluttering didn't go as well as hoped but I haven't had much time really with agency shifts, meetings, kiddies, life etc so hey ho!
Money wise. I am pleased with payments this month. I'm hoping to keep it at a similar level in October too.
Let's do a money update to see where we are up to.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

To start October off I have just moved £200 to the loan. This was made up of the £82 that used to go to the window loan that I move every month and the regular overpayment to our mortgage which wasn't taken this month due to a change in interest rate. I had to ring them to reinstate the overpayment but they couldn't change this month's payment. So as we don't miss it it went to the loan insteadGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

Thank you lovely ladies.
Quiet day here today. We have had a busy week and the kids are starting to feel the effects of it. DS is sat on the settee watching a certain young Piggy on the iPad and I don't think he'll move much today. He has got his train set out though so he'll probably spend the day swapping between the two.
I've got housework to catch up on and I need to fill out and send my timesheet to the agency. I did my last run yesterday before Sunday. It was a really good run too. My legs felt really good and I felt like I could run for ever (well not forever but you know what I mean) It was really strange though as when I got home I checked my stats because I was sure they would be good, but it turns out my splits and consequently my ave pace were a lot slower than the 10k I did last month when I seemed to struggle with the heat and the hills  How does that work??
Right off to decide on October Challenges. October already??? where is this year going?? Although while I am on that subject where do the years go?? This month DD will be 7!! 7!! Can you believe it??Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Okay so I haven't even thought of the October challenges yet!
I will tell you what I have done though (and it's not very MSE sorry)
I ran a half marathon on sunday! I did it in just over 2 1/2hours and I am so pleased. I felt like I ran really well although mile 11-12 felt about 5 miles long!! I am still so happy and DH has been fantastic since I did it. He even told me he was very proud of me which made me feel so good. DD has taken my medal into school today to show her teachers (she had an inset day yesterday).
Anyway in more money saving news, DD had to take food into school today for some party they were having (don't really know what for) and to be honest I completely forgot til this morning. I spoke to her teacher and she said that they were having the party this afternoon so I came home and made some little biscuity-chocolates for her to take instead of rushing to the shop to buy something. We have just dropped them back up the school for her now.
Other than that, it's been a bit of a pottery day. I've done bits and pieces around the house and prepared my report for the meeting I've got this evening. No housework was done over the weekend due to my half marathonso I've still got quite a bit to do to catch up.
Must set October challenges too.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000
