My mum has floor length curtains over her patio doors and DD used to put the potty behind the curtain. Anyone in the garden had a lovely view of her bare backside but as long as she couldn't see us she was fine :rotfl:Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

I have to admit to not being a parent yet (give me 5 weeks or so) but a friend recently got her son dry after almost giving up and it was due to a reward system, and funilly enough it was discussed at knitting circle yesterday ( I know weird conversations are had there) and a couple of the older ladies said that they're children refused the potty but with a mini toilet seat were perfectly happy. Hope you get him dry soon and can keep sane in the process, just remind me of this conversation when I get to that stage please0

Potty training - if he is not ready then leave a few weeks and start again - is there a rush??? I had 2 girls and I am led to believe girls are easier......................hmmmm. I wont tell you what I did to sort out my eldest when I just 'cracked' one day:eek: ( it worked!) but the second one was all done and dusted at nursery - took them two weeks and she was 'trained' Marvellous!! Dont think there is a right or wrong way - you know your child and you will find a wayBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Wow LT do you only have 5 weeks left?? That's gone quick.
Hi igamogam he does seem to be ready just very afraid of the toilet/potty. My DD definitely seemed easier but I'm not sure if that's rose tinted glasses or not now
We are slowly getting there. The last 2 days have been very encouraging. We had an accident to morning but that was my fault.let's hope he can keep it up and we'll have cracked it :T fingers crossed
We have had a very busy week running a holiday club. Last day today and it has been very successful. Tonight is going to be a chill out with a glass of cider (classy I know) and some M*A*S*H on DVD.
With the holiday club preparation we haven't had much time to concentrate on the August challenges but I do have some updates.
August Challenge £265.68/£500
Declutter 9/10
Halfway there money wise although I'm not sure I will make it as we are away next week on holidays. Decluttering is still going well although has slowed down a bit.
My ID badge has arrived from the agency I have signed up with and they are keen to get me working asap. :T so as soon as I get back from holidays I will hopefully be able to start picking up shifts :jGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

Where has August gone? Seriously DD is back in school tomorrow
We are just about recovering from our epic journey home from holiday. DH's arm played up a bit on holidays, trip to A&E this afternoon and it's bursitis. He's got antibiotics and a lovely pen mark on his arm and if the swelling goes past the pen line he has to go back to the hospital.
All well apart from that. We had a fabulous holiday. DD loved chicken sitting and hasn't stopped talking about them (one in particular) since she got home.
In other news I'm covered in what looks like midgy bites and itch all over and have got a stack of washing to do tomorrowin fact I've got so much to do tomorrow I may need to post a list. Before that though I do have to acknowledge that it is the last day of the month today so we need to do a money update. Be back soon x
