Thanks Greying your kind words mean a lot :kisses3:
Spends today have been up and down. DH took DD to her hospital appt so I saved on parking fees therebut the chippy tea at youth club cost £5  for two kids meals. That did feed 3 of us and I brought some home too but I'd only budgeted £3
Will also have to spend 50p on tooth fairy duty this eveningGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
:j Hurrah for tooth fairy-ness!
Greying is absolutely right too - you'll never have these years with the littlies back again so you absolutely HAVE to maximise life now. some form of emergency fund that would at a pinch cover the replacement of an appliance like the WM is also an absolute essential I think - really, you're doing the right thing splitting the spare money between the two things, at least until you have that pot built up to a level that's inside your comfort zone.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Indeed - I agree about splitting them - think how you'd feel about putting a washing machine on a credit card and *increasing* debt at this point - I bet it wouldn't make you feel great... But this way you won't have to do that
Difficult, but stick with the plan xx

I know. I'd be devastated.thank you for all your kind words. It means a lot to me x
£2.50 spent for run club last night. We did sprints last night and even though it was hard I really enjoyed it
£5 for DD's dance class tonight and I need to pay DS's nursery fees this afternoon too.
All these have been budgeted for though so that's good. I did think that the £20 I'm saving from DD's piano lessons being cancelled due to 2 bank holidays this month, I thought i might pay that off the loan. I mean I would have spent it on her lessons anyway so it is 'spare' money this month.
I also need to spend some money at some point today but I can claim that back from the church anyway so it doesn't really count. I don't have to fill in an expenses form. I just give the receipt to the treasurer and he writes me a cheque. EasyGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Okay I need a list. I am sat here in my pj bottoms (got soaked on the school run) and am getting nothing done. I have the day to myself. DS is in nursery as Monday was bank holiday so we changed to today instead.

That'll do for now I think. I'll see how I'm doing later and if I need to add anything.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Lemon cake....Mmmmm!
Good list-making there. I'm trying to resist the temptation to do a serious one for tomorrow but I think I might have to...got lots of odds and ends whizzing about that need doing!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

A list really motivates me EH so give it a try
Well I went through both my and DD's wardrobes and now I've got a big bag ready to go to the cash for clothes place. DD has such lovely clothes but she hardly wears a lot of them. Some of her clothes were 3-4 (she's 6!) so I got rid of those too.
I might try to motivate DH to do his wardrobe too this weekend. DS doesn't have that many clothes so I know his is okay. It sounds awful, written down, that DD has loads of clothes but DS doesn't!the reason is that DD has a lot of hand-me-downs from a friend but we are only just starting to get hand-me-downs for DS so we have been buying "basics" for him - jeans, joggers, t-shirts, long sleeve tops that can be mixed and matched.
I'm trying to pluck up the courage to make him some clothes like I do with DD but I haven't had the experience of boy's clothes so am a bit wary. Silly I knowGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

Mmmm, lemon cake is everywhere today! Managed to resist a bit this afternoon (too busy stuffing my face with chocolate mini rolls :rotfl: ) but now it's being waved (virtually, of course) in my face. Should have eaten it earlier!!0
